Re: Automation Game Engine Converter Can you provide the lua file? Yes you can pull the transmission part from Automation's cars, but not from the engine file which my program analyses. Maybe in the future, if Automation dev's create the transmission designer. Also the numbers in the transmission part of Automation don't make much sense if you don't know how to process them.
Re: Automation Game Engine Converter Code: private void cmdDrop_Click(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e) { this.lblStatus.Text = "Drop a file! Do not press the button, idiot!"; } Nice one lol. Gonna test this soon
Re: Automation Game Engine Converter Maybe put some sort of logic bomb in it just encase someone tries to hack into this program then?
Re: Automation Game Engine Converter Nah.... Nevermind. I'm just pissed because if he had just asked for source I'd happily posted it Just trying to support this awesome community and this awesome game with some tools. After all it's open source.
Re: Automation Game Engine Converter Yeah, what I would love to see from this is a way to display the power and torque curves from that program or are you working on that right now? well I saw you removed it...but I wouldnt mind having it back in there you know... Problem you cannot change your vehicle when you want to make a different tune you need to fix that...
Re: Automation Game Engine Converter Yes, still in development. Had some problems with it because there is no native way to display charts. Tried one solution but was not happy with it. But this is the next step after all current bugs are out of the way. Can someone please test if HP is displayed correctly now? Or is it still the same problem? Found a bug myself. Not sure how to handle that: If you try to create a tuning for the Pickup, make sure you edit the pickup engine file to include the tuning file. "pickup_engine_v8.jbeam" doesn't contain a slot for "pickup_enginetuning" but for "pickup_enginetuning_v8". So tuning is not shown in BeamNG unless you edit the engine file to include that slot
Re: Automation Game Engine Converter You cannot change the setup when you have selected a vehicle its now locked to that vehicle, I suggest a "Clear Create Tuning" button that resets that
Re: Automation Game Engine Converter You where to fast^^ Don't select the vehicle when the program asks you to select the vehicle folder^^ But I'll fix that
Re: Automation Game Engine Converter Well thats what I did I selected the folder and then it got into that bug loop there but thanks for fixing this pesky bug
Re: Automation Game Engine Converter Okay so you select for example "C:\Users\RobertGracie\AppData\BeamNG\vehicles". That should work. Don't select the car's folder for example "C:\Users\RobertGracie\AppData\BeamNG\vehicles\hatch" That should avoid the problem. If you did exactly that, then maybe you can post a screenshot so I see what's going on there. Anyway. take a look at the new Version 1.0.6.1 in first post. Please delete the folder "EngineConverter" located in "C:\%username%\AppData\EngineConverter" So your config file will be regenerated
Re: Automation Game Engine Converter Still not effect..... Its managed to lock itself to a single file...that I cannot get it out of its a Lotus 49 (Yes I have that car still and I wont be doing anything with it other than using it to test mods on only) I got it locked to and now I cannot undo what I got it locked to you need to have a "CLEAR Create Tuning" button on the program to erase the file location it has stored in the code...thats what you need to do
Re: Automation Game Engine Converter Ok I try to fix that. In the meantime, just delete the "EngineConverter" folder like I mentioned before and try again.
Re: Automation Game Engine Converter I went into the Bin File and removed the Path location so I got that fixed...but at least your adding a clear command in to the program so that if people screw up like what I did, they can get out of it pretty quick
Re: Automation Game Engine Converter Its a brilliant Idea I mean I challenged myself to build 4 different engines and I did it...I gave the Pigeon a 10,000rpm Diesel engine
Re: Automation Game Engine Converter Happy to see how well it fetches the torque curve of a turbocharged engine ^.^ Also just want to say i am glad to see this tool as it will help me create engines for all the in-game applications I need.
Re: Automation Game Engine Converter just wanted to say that it doesn't give any info when i try to use hp and lb-ft but it does when i use kw and nm.... is there away to fix this... not sure how to take a screen shot though. I also need to figure out how to get the manual trans. to handle more then 1499 tq... after that the clutch just lets go
