    So... if there's a thing called "Ti" for nivida cards why is there no such thing as "Ve" for amd cards?

    Ti = Titan
    Ve = Vega

    Both cards are stupidly overpriced and not as powerful

    From my knowledge, TI does not mean Titan. As a matter of fact, the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080TI beats the GeForce Titan XP. The GTX 1080TI is the most powerful card on the market, and AMD their cards don't even come close to it. In terms of the Vega naming from AMD, I have no knowledge.

    the "ti" stand for "titanium" as in the material of the rod nvidia uses on you when you buy their products

    vega is just a series name, no different from the HD or RX or GTX lines

    Ti cards predate the Titan series of cards.

    Ti isn't Titan, Vega isn't equivalent to Titan either.
    Ti is titanium.
    Vega is a gpu microarchitecture like Pascal.
    There are Ti cards, they're X in amd nomenclature

    Is that like fuel injection? Just inject more turbos into a graphics card.

    There used to be a "VE" series of Radeon GPUs, back when they were still marketed as ATis.

    R100-based 7000 VEs were entry level models. Like, VEry entry level. :p

    "Ti" has been used by nVIDIA to identify the best variants of their chipsets since the NV15/GeForce 2.

    ... which is the best model in the 1050 range...? :confused:

    "Ti" = "faster than non-Ti model" in nVIDIA's nomenclature, it's simple as that.
