There is something interesting to add to the mod, as far as I can tell nobody has ever done this before, at least on a well executed mod such as this. Factory Door Bong/Chime - When you open the door, and turn on the power. I saw this video a couple days ago and I thought it would be a neat touch to the remaster.
i think the only thing this mod is still missing is customizable engines, just having a few preset engines with no way of tuning them gets boring after a while
Long time no see, I finally had some free time to check on the mod. Thankfully the last game update doesn't seem to have broken anything at all. But it added some opportunities for new content. I implemented the new action system from T-Series that makes key bindings only show up on vehicles that can actually use them, this makes things cleaner especially with hydraulics. Also started adding some cargo load boxes. These are very big cars so will be able to fit a lot of them. Won't be adding working mirrors yet, will rather wait until the implementation is final.
No idea, but it will depend on the trim, there is a 2 seat row and 3 seat row wagon, the former can fit more of course, and each one can also have a factory roof rack that can fit more boxes. I imagine the 2 seat row one with roof rack will take more than any regular vanilla car, not counting trucks.
Many reasons... It would need a complete remaster from scratch to fit official content quality wise, and not just a refresh like I'm doing. Model and textures are a lot worse than current standards for vanilla cars, there's not even any PBR. Jbeam wise I'm also not redoing everything to be 100% as good as official stuff, body is a very heavily modified Moonhawk which is very old at this point, something like Lansdale is way higher quality and would be expected from official content now. It would also need to be rebadged to Bruckell/Soliad something to fit vanilla lore and many people would hate that. I would have to remove lots of details the mod is well known for or ones that I worked hard on, such as weak rusty parts and all the engine tuning parts I made, to be standardized with official cars. All custom police, taxi, race parts would need to be replaced with vanilla equivalents for optimization because the current ones while having more functions are also heavier on performance. The whole mod would need to be slimmed down overall for easier maintenance, 90% of the skins would have to be removed and like half of all parts. All of the art style choices like the broken glass textures and custom tires would need to be replaced with generic vanilla ones so they don't stand out. I also wouldn't be able to add all of the configs that I want because the config selector would be considered too cluttered for no reason. And most importantly this would be illegal because lots of different people have worked on this mod, some of which are unreachable, you can't legally just reuse someone's work commercially like this. It's 1000 times better if it stays as a mod, that just means more freedom.
So the sedan fits 12x Cargo Load Box M, 3x Cargo Load Box L and 1x Cargo Load Box XL on the roof. 1400kg load in total, suspension is not happy with it. Meanwhile the wagon fits 6x Cargo Load Box M, 7x Cargo Load Box L and 2x Cargo Load Box XL. 2450kg of load. It's undrivable lol XL boxes also available on off-road roof rack if you want to transport heavy cargo through dirt for some reason I also managed to get rid of even more part duplicates by using the new feature where 1 part can fit multiple slot types. So no more separate fuel tanks for each body and no more exhaust duplicates for small and big block engines too.
No way - USDM version of my PFP lol That’s a thing?!!1!? Well I’m definitely going to remember that for the future
