Released American 80's Fullsize Series 2.1

Well it was stored for twenty years in a dusty but dry industrial depot, so it could explain that

 

That's not even the first issue with those flags!

 

I really love this mod and the full sice cars but i have found some glitches/faluts.

1: The transmission does not shift up until at the high revs whilst cruising.
2: The Chocke light (caprice) does not turn of when the engine is up to operating temp.
3: When you drive of from a stand still the take-of reaction is to high, the car hits 30 kph in like a half a second and then it takes half an hour to hit 100 kph.

4: Not a glitcn, more a request, to have a optional turbos to the engines, especially the 5,7dx And a 1996 Cadillac fleetwood Brougham would be nice.

Otherwise I love this, keep up the good work.

 

Sbeam is messed up? No engine sound at around 1300rpm, engine sound is very quiet, is it supposed to be like this?

 

I just found this random police chase from the 80's on Youtube but it does reminds me of this mod mostly because the cars that was used where a Oldsmobile 98 and a Chevy Caprice

I'm happy to see one that focus on the deformation work in slowmo, a lot of time was spent on the way the car deforms.

 

Will you ever be adding Buick, Cadillac, or Pontiac cars?

funny thing
unlike in striking distance the Pittsburgh pd never used caprices or impalas thy were either olds 88 delta or Pontiac Bonneville

 

Ha ha when doing the prototype to allow the mod being in the Repo, i would have never imagined somebody could do a whole 20 mn video about it. It's such a boring car. The deformation is not even updated on this one regarding all was improved alltogether with the second release with the Caprice. The car is too much solid, all the other deform way better.
But Whybeare said he's splitting video to cover more content so that's cool

 

No he won't, modelling the parts take time and he isnt interested, also, he only added the Caprice because it's iconic.

 

If i was paid to bring you more american cars of any brands i would be happy to answer to those request, but as it's a hobby i'd rather do what is fun to me, and more creative than just stick to an existing model. But i say that now and it's maybe not what i would say in one year. Never say never and so on. Cadillac interests me as they are iconic as well, seen in a lot of movies. But Pontiac or Buick are just same cars with some variations and they don't worth the work.

 

If you where to do the Cadillac what new models it would have, like would there be a hearse model and/or a Ambulance? (I know they stop making the Ambulances in the 70's but there where basically just hearse with a white paint job and a light on top).
