I really like the new rust and dirt textures! I really love beaters and I'd say your mod does the best job with them in all of BeamNG. considering that with the new window dirt textures the wiper patterns are more visible than before on the dirty windows (iirc it was visible on the older dirty windows too, just less, I don't currently have the mod installed because of it being outdated) would you consider modeling wipers? (to be clear I mean static non-working wipers, like the vanilla cars have)
It's not outdated though?? Have you installed the 'codenameoldsfullsize' mod from the repository AND the addon from this thread? It should work fine. I was using it last night on the newest update
I know the mod works fine I just meant the sound stuff being outdated, which bothers me because I'm particular about things, that's all.
Synsol is sorting the engines to get the new way of organize them like on the Vanilla car, so yes, we can add engine options like injection. Problem is always adding new mesh with new parts options, it takes time. Sierra-3 would like a V6 engine, that i could manage to do as the engine looks like a V8 minus two cylinders. Glad you like the dust effect . Indeed i make a lot of effort on beaters and rusty cars as i've always loved abandoned old beauties. If you remove the hood, you'll see the wipers are here, on my Delta 88 they are hidden under the hood and not visible when not working, they kinda park in place They might have been forgotten on some variants though, i noticed on my version the custom cruiser doesn't have them I fully understand that. I prefer people to remove the mod and wait for a further improvments, rather than just complain about what is missing or not up to date.
I don't know how this youtuber got the oldsfullsize lightbar on the D-Series... he must have made a private mod. idk maybe its a accessory in a mod.
Listening to recent suggestions i gave demo derby cars some more love : - fuel tank (gas and diesel) and radiator protected by the rollcage with electric fans (wip). - Welded panels with big iron plate and bolts : So as expected you can scrap the entire rear end without caughting fire Works not bad so far Only caprice is made so far, i need to improve it a bit and adapt to other variants. Welded panels are made for Derby cars but are available for regular ones as well. So if someone's fantasy is to have a beautiful sedan with welded doors and trunk, he/she can have a ride
I won't add a special police coupe skin because it doesn't worth the additionnal file weight, but what i did is adding the rear panel to work with the sedan skin, and removed the door gap line on the skin so that the coupe door won't have the vertical line anymore, + adding some white to reach the vinyl roof. Like that it's not perfect but the same skin can work for both. Works with the Delta88 coupe as well : Again, i just adapted a bit to make the coupe police possible, but this kind of car doesn't make sense as police uses sedan with grills separating rear bench and so on... Look if your sound FX level is not set on 0. If you still have the trouble, delete the mod and wait for the next update (next days/weeks, i don't know exactly).
Not sure if I'm the only one, but the caprice sedan beater beam state seems to break on load. beater loads fine after switching beam states.
The vehicles contained in the mod pack have a few texture dependencies on the repo mod but BeamNG sometimes doesn't recognize those unless you've loaded them from the repo car first. At least that's how it works in mine. YMMV
No, manual install. It's been happening with about every update since, I dunno...version 11? I didn't really keep track of when exactly it happened. Next time I wipe the cache, I'll make note of the result, it may just be that. And now that I think of it, it may well be just the '88 you have to load first.
