I much preferred the old sounds, but thanks a ton for updating this car and making it drivable again (it's my favorite in beamNG by FAR!) The new sounds, in my opinion (and yes, it's impossible to satisfy everybody), don't do this car much justice (but again, maybe you have a surprise for us in V2 ) Here is a real Ford Crown Victoria 1988 (not the same car of course, but just listen to this 'ear porn' (my knees get weak every time I watch this ) Here's another 'ear porn' video
I was having the same issue. The pre update version somehow had a "(1)" at the end of it, so when I installed the update it did not overwrite the old version. Make sure ALL old versions are removed.
He he, no surprise planned for V2.0 soundwise as the release is close, BUT : Good news for all the older sounds lovers, i just added an optional mod for getting them back ! You can find them in the first post attachments and just download it in the mods folder. Just delete the zip to swith back to the current vanilla sounds. I have not tested all configurations, so please report any weird sound level you may notice. It should be the same as before, but, they are always surprises I'll try to make a new Fmod sounds possible, but not for V2.0.
Is the removal of the coupe side quarter glass for the 98 Regency and the soon to be Delta 88 coupe going to be added to the next update? The sounds themselves, I love the idle sounds, but I like the vanilla engine sounds while driving. Just seem a little more realistic to me (my opinion)
some of the vehicles spawn like this, there was one config that had the tire Stripe on the same side of the tire on all 4, so you could see the line on 1 side, on the other you could not because it was on the inside
Yes, for the side glasses, it's already done for both cars. Thank you for the reminder though Vanilla sounds can be considered as placeholder until a more original solution is done. No such issue here my friend, just verified the last released version. You seem to encounter some weird issues since you updated the mod, are you sure you don't have many versions of the mod into your folders ? Looks like conflicts issues. I hope so, for now i just tested stuff on the caprice, but i'm not very satisfied with the jbeam welding the door, i'd rather find a more simple solution with stronger hinges and latches. Inner fuel tank and radiators are very early. So i don't know, maybe a further release will be focused on Demo Derby cars. Some progresses : Early appearance of bucket seats and simpler trim rear bench. Also simpler front seats that will fit service cars and wagon better. Of course texturing is only a testing one to see pixels stretching and size. Can't wait to get those seats finished
Nah when i msged you about the issues, i completely deleted the carsfolders and the mods, and the cars in the cache to clear it
Well, i don't know what to say, the mod is running fine without those issues at all, so there is something wrong in your end i'm affraid. Anyway the mod will be updated soon so you can maybe just wait for the new version.
The 'new' old sounds work like a charm here Thanks a lot for making that option available! With those the car just sounds so warm and deep
Clear your cache, the older version of the CDAE is stored there, and not compatible with the new files.
