Is there a demo for Automation? I want to try it out before trying to get it.

There used to be. It's very outdated now and not available.

I'm so looking forward to this! It's going to be amazing, and ironically Automation and Beamng.Drive are the only games I've got on Steam. The hours on both games will surely increase after this update! (My current times on both games: Automation: 38 hours Beamng.Drive:1883 hours- since 30/11/17)

Well, looks like I'll be picking up Automation here shortly. Perhaps this could be what gets me into the vehicle side of things!?
Gazing wistfully into the future of this collaboration I can see updates that further improve the jbeam export densities and complexities.
Hell, I can envision all sorts of abilities going forward (looking at you UV maps and materials). What a nice surprise this is and it is awesome
that the devs are looking into stuff like this. If this launches with a suspected general update (timing certainly matches), it is going to be a very
    busy time around here:cool:.

    Good luck guys and thanks!

I am "confusion" by your English. But yes, they generate the jbeams when the game is exporting the vehicle

I'm more excited for the actual BeamNG update, the cars in Automation are lacking detail in my opinion and it will probably get boring somewhat soon. Not going to pick up Automation unless there is a substantial discount involved.

You'll get a 20% discount on the other game, if you own any of them

It probably will, considering that Automation devs have nothing against people making interiors for these cars, but you'll have to credit them afterwards

    So...
If there is a separate page for all of the Automation cars on the BeamNG forums, Does that mean its just as easy to install them as any normal BeamNG mod?
I would think so, but Im not sure.
This does look really nice though. I wonder if fenders and stuff will be able to fall off your car when they release this update

    To quote Nadeox:
    • Car Visuals - The meshes for chassis, body, engine, gearbox, suspension, all fixtures, wheels and brakes are exported. Some fixtures can break off your car, and your car materials and paint find their way into BeamNG as well.
    • Car Deformation (Basic) - A basic implementation of car deformation is implemented, it never will be as good as for native BeamNG cars, but this aspect is something we will improve on until release and for future updates.

They are made of the same files as a proper mod, so yes.

@Nadeox1 , (or whomever can answer) assuming we create a car in Automation (a game I know nothing about currently, so apologies if this is already possible) and export it to BeamNG. Will making skins for said vehicle be possible right off the bat or will we have to make the UV maps ourselves?
I know paint gets exported, but I imagine that'd limited to the coloring of the car?

Basically, are we able to create skins for these Automation cars just how we are able to make skins for BeamNG's cars?
Say, if I wanted to make a racing version of my car complete with decals and stickers, does the car get a UV map with the exporter or do we make these ourselves with Blender in order to make skins for them?
    Hopefully I make sense ;)
