I don’t actually know anyone who owns a windows XP, but I would like to know if there was anyone who still has one out there...? Reply to this thread if you have one and if it is still in good condition. BossHoss
I have it on vm. I tried installing it on a Dell Optiplex and could not find drivers. so I stuck on windows 7. windows xp was good, but now with ransomware and various other viruses out there, it is much safer to use windows 7, 8 or 10.
I have a few old computers that run XP. Its really not that great compared to modern standards, but it works.
I would only use it as a main operating system in an emergency. e.g. computer broke and I lost its license key.
I actually have my family old Asus laptop that runs Windows XP 32bit and it still works! Sometimes I turn it on to play Pinball
I have an emachines desktop computer that runs XP from 2008, and I have an old Gateway that I have. Both of these I use to relive early XP pinball nostalgia. I pretty much have an old computer museum, all the way up to an early Apollo guidance system in my basement.
I have a heat freak 2005 Dell Optiplex GX620 that could play some decent games for back in the day! It has an awesome sound card though. This thing can heat up a 6x6 room. It has a Pentium 4 @3.2 Ghz quad core (over 200 watts!!) And it has an AMD HD Radeon ATi card (don't remember) 3Gb RAM It was pretty fast back then, but now, it is SLOW. My second, new PC is described in my signature.
Yeah, that's what I think too. It is often maxed out. That is one 3Gb card. Even though there are two! I just have to chuckle at the fact that has three Gb.
Probably has 3GB's because that's the maximum 32bit Windows XP can support. There was a 64bit version of XP that could support up to a whopping 6 gigs! OT: I run XP on my Nostalgia gaming PC, Athlon XP 2000+, ABIT AT7-MAX2, 2GB RAM, Nvidia GeForce4 Ti4200, 120GB HDD and of course it's in the ugliest beige case I could find!
used to. still have but dont use it much anymore just for old games I cant play on my current computer
I have a compauq from like 2002 with a pentium 4 and an acer aspire someone gave me with a single core processor and 512 mb of ram
I still use windows 95, but not often. I can't really do much because the laptop has to be plugged in at all times and a full charge lasts like 5 minutes. Also I have no floppy disks or anything. Dial up also does not work.
Hmmm...I wonder why dial up doesn't work. And I wonder why nobody sells floppy disks.... them ancient material. Oh wait I must be too because I own an XP machine.
I use Windows XP on an almost weekly basis, old games and other programs and such. Plus the Gateway with XP Media Center is an awesome DVD playback machine because it's got great speakers.
