works fine for me. make sure you have the old public version deleted and that you have cleared the game cache.
the DL is super slow for me. can we please make the file size smaller but putting the skins into seperate packs?
I feel like a better alternative would be uploading it on a website like mediafire. I don't mind the speed though, it's not that bad.
One thing I've been considering... is to drop the ancient F150 body, replace it with the new one from SM, and stick to the 4-5 official Monster Jam skins (Grinder, Metal Mulisha, Blue Thunder, Monster Energy...). Quite a few skins for the current F150 body are rather poor quality, they just bloat up the archive and rarely see much play...
Not here, but it's fairly similar. The new one has a proper windshield, thinner pillars and a slightly different front-end. This is how it looks in RoR:
i suppose it looks ok. the low poly graphics of the old ror footage actually makes it looks worse than what we already have. if possible, can't you just up the texture resolution or poly count if that's a thing? perhaps upload it as a separate version so that we could easily do side by side comparisons.
That's what I thought too, but I've seen it "live" in BeamNG and it's admitedly better. At first glance, they're pretty close, the difference is in the details, the new one being more realistic and closer to its real life counterparts.
it's not possible to have them both in at once? because some skins like growing darkness and perpetual destruction are really well made.
Well, it's possible, but one of the reasons why I'd like to get rid of the old body is to keep the filesize down.
wouldn't you still partially achieve that by only dropping the ones that could be updated? it wouldn't be as big a decrease, but it wouldn't have us lose content.
Nope, filesize would increase, both because of the bigger meshfile and the new textures. Nevermind...
aw. i'd like to see them implemented in some way or another. maybe as a separate download pack like bigfoot used to be.
about the F-150, someone on Sim-Monsters is making a highly detailed version. i've asked on the thread if it can have the same UV map as we have so tis a simple swap
