As I feared, engine + transmission are causing this. Priority shifted to getting the truck in working order again, but I'll probably need a few days.

More specifically, the problem lies in the differentials. The truck spawns correctly without them (can't drive, of course). Probably the "fake" central diff, I'll remove it and report back.

Confirmed. Drives regularly without the central diff. I'll try to get a semi-decent setup and upload an hotfix to get it working again while I move the whole drivetrain to the new system.

if you want a quick fix while we wait for F2YS to do a proper update, just remove the center diff in the engine jbeam

The handling once the center diff is gone is like night and day. Open diffs make it quite fast off the line, and it turns rather well. Just don't try to rip a donut, it'll hike up and go right over.

Yup, that's the reason why I haven't uploaded an hotfix yet. Flips over way too easily.

I'm working on the drivetrain code conversion now, hopefully it will be ready soon.

Well, it's the central diff that can't work as is.

Tuning implied the diff in place. Either I retune the whole drivetrain to work without it, or rewrite the engine/transmission/differentials tree to the new standard.

new version works good, but i do notice some odd things. i'm not sure if it's the revised mod, the game update, or a combo of both. but i'll list them off:
    sound is a bit glitchy.
open diff is back (i presume you're working hard to get it back to what it was before)
everything is weaker; suspension, four-links, wheels, etc.
i couldn't get the hood to come off. not sure if it was in this version. but i'll list it off anyways (fyi: got the updated file from the public page)
seemed very bouncy. could be the goodyears i was trying out before though (should list the handeling differences in the parts menu or something to make it easier to make the correct tire choice)
    no nvidia/amd skins? just wondering.
testing video that shows almost everything listed above:
