The steering snaps way way way too easily, I tried driving in a straight line and the car made the smack sound effect then it wouldn't turn. I thought it was a bug so I reset the car and in trying to align the car with the road, the steering snapped again. Why does it keep doing this?

I can confirm the problem with the steering breaking at slight steering as well. It is unfortunate because this car is rendered virtually useless with this bug.

I'm having the exact same problem. The steering completely fails if you try to drive over about 15 MPH.

I'm having the same problem, I load in the car, drive 3 feet and the steering snaps and the wheels point in opposite directions. If i change out any of the parts, it still does the same. Anyone have a solution to why the steering snaps?

    Thanks in advance
    :D

I fixed that issue and made the gearing shorter for faster starting. http://www.beamng.com/threads/15560...ension-and-gearing-tweaks?p=243847#post243847

I fixed the steering issue. It no longer breaks. Also, I changed the gearing to match the real car's. That helps it start faster and spin the tires earlier.

Why yes I do. I also reworked the gearing and final drive ratio to make it start faster. It works best with the LSDs.

If you use Experimental, it can glitch like that.

Experimental is no longer a thing, it was dropped around the 3.9 update IIRC, that is most likely a texture/model glitch because this car was released the same time as the VW Polo Rally car and has not had an update in a very long time

Please learn to quote, i do not want to sound like a broken record, however if you do not quote right your message will most likely be ignored, but to answer your questions

    1. Custom sounds do not work in Beam right now, specially old sound files
    2. you do not need experimental, just put it in Documents\BeamNG.drive\mods

Love this car! very nicelly done.

BUT.. will there ever be a new release? it is completelly undrivable now, front wheels come off rear wheels are moving around and something is braking the car.

Would love to crash a working one around, thanks.

Try Dirt 3! Codemasters models thier cars extremely well.
P.S. if possible please make an F1 type car...

Two small things I would change is make it so the front and rear mudguards can be removed separately and it would be awesome if you could choose which type of wheel the spare wheels in the trunk are. For instance if you put snow wheels on the quattro you can also change your spare tires from tarmac to snow tires. Other than that nice mod! :)
