I haven't got anything against American cars, but the companies themselves can fuck off. I love Holden's cars, I hate Holden as a company.

Its been a hell of a while since Holdens weren't just rebadged Chevrolet's, Pontiac's or Opel's or whatever.

Well, commodore, although originally that stemmed from Opel too, but current one is Holden platform.

While it may not share the Opel platform, the current one is literally just a rebadged Chevrolet SS.

Mate, the "SS" is the rebadged car. That car was designed in Australia and is built in Australia in Holden's factory. The SS & G8 are Commodores.

Like HadACoolName points out. The Holden Commodore is the original with it being rebadged as the Chevy SS and Vauxhall VXR8 and its platform being used in the camaro.

Yep all on a platform that Australians designed and built and is now used by Chevrolet for the Camaro.

 (not trying to be an ass just my Aussie humour)

Even the early commodores weren't just re-badged they had to be re-engineered for our conditions, then they had a couple styling changes and then they were built in Australia by Aussies.

Thats quite bad for holden, I quite like them and its silly for it to have a very obvious rebranded chevy. That said... couldn't be any worse than a Ford... and they don't even bother to rebrand themselves over there.
