Yeah they will try and rip you off every chance they get so one can only hope they give you at least 90% of the actual value but they probably won't. Although you could try and buy it back and sell the parts to get the money back but that takes time and a few of tools. Also could be worse could have given you a Mazda or Hyundai.
Utes are for people who want to haul stuff around sometimes, but still want alot of power, and alot of fun.
It seems GM is realizing how big they have screwed up. http://www.carsales.com.au/news/201...mated-impact-of-holden-factory-closures-48614
Right, but the article says "introducing the corvette or camaro" Even as an american I'd much rather have a HSV than either of those.
HadAcoolName, You asked for pictures of our Silverado. I posted them but they were lost in a flood of posts, So I'll repost them . to keep this on topic; Look what I found in the garage with a box of old valiant parts Its definantly a collectors item, I was thinking of selling it because I need some money, But then I thought about how the falcon and commodore are dead so I kept it. It is a bottle case, Most likely had jimbeam in it, It's in very rough condition. It was sitting in a box with Pistons and carburettors and such. Completely made from tin. It's got text on the bottom about Australian racing history. It's a very interesting piece. I'll definantly be holding on to it for quite awhile.

Just found out the guy who built this (Laurie Starling) was murdered late last year Was shot dead by bikers in a case of mistaken identity. Poor bastard. (imported from here)
Ok this is a bit of a bump. But important to aussies. As you know Toyota Ford & Holden are dead men walking. But a new Brand is starting up. And they will be R.W.D http://www.carsguide.com.au/car-news/new-car-factory-planned-for-adelaide-31135 Link added Thanks to hadacoolname as Told me on facebook :] Part of the story below. Sorry about the way it looks. The Melbourne-based firm expects to roll 12,000 cars off the production line in 2018. That number would increase to 50,000 by 2023. The company has not decided on a name for the car brand. The first model produced would have a rear-wheel drive layout.
