No, Funded and destroyed by GM, It wasn't ever made by GM nor ever built by GM.

    100% Australian made and designed.

Never thought I would say this about a Vehicle built on our turf, But they look hideous, They are a bunch of utes with what looks like would happen if a Camper and canopy fucked... These ruined my day... I'm going to go out to the garage to sit in the G8 HSV for awhile...

My car has the hand brake behind the gearstick, perfectly centred, wouldnt need moving at all for RHD vs LHD.

There we go, took a nice photo while putting a child seat in my car again.
I vote that this does indeed fit into an aussie car discussion because although it may not be australian designed, Holden did rebadge this as the 4th gen Holden Barina.

That's where your wrong, GM did. It had nothing to do with Holden, Just GM trying to drain more money out of something.

GM are shit, the car is shit, we all know. But ultimately its still available in Australia as a Holden the same way the Commodore is available outside of Australia as a Vauxhall or a Chevy.

Actually the vauxhall rebadge is a Commodore GTS.

Personally not a fan of the rims or the black plastic thing they have going on in the middle of the grill. Otherwise not a bad looking car. We don't get the ute though :(

The Holden ute never even had anything to do with the El-camino except for americans asking for the new ones to be 2014 El-Caminos.

Not completely true, the Holden Hq ute was sold in South Africa as the Chev El Camino back in the day. http://www.gumtree.co.za/a-cars-bakkies/phoenix/1974-chevrolet-el-camino/1001186661530910348460709 (gumtree South Africa) Although nothing to do with the yanks still.

As for the Panel vans if you don't like the shaggin' wagon it is definitely you and not the car. A ute design to be a hotel, work horse and muscle car all in one, what's not to love?

Car says Automatic, description says manual. Bit of a fail

Asshole drink driver throws bottle of Carlton Dry out the window, it hits a sign ad rebounds into the windscreen of this on coming Holden VE SS Commodore like the one below. The driver isn't going to have it.

Holden has been selling the Malibu since last year and it is such an unsuccessful car here which is funny because that's what they plan to replace the Commodore with which is the 2nd best selling car in Aus :p
    Plus the Commy is sexier
