I absolutely love the steering wheel on first three pictures, and rest of the dash too! Will wait to see a gauge cluster later, that surely will be cool.
will there be a detailed beater i mean like with beater insides wheels tires ect? srry if i already asked this.
Wow! I really like the first 3, the wheel looks so great! Keep up the good work. Can't wait for this mod to come out!
So a small update, I've been working on the gauges for a while, they're not fully done yet but here's how they look now: Other than that I've done hardly any progress on the car, life just got in the way these past two months. Seeing how my motivation has been dropping again, I'm gonna put the mod on a "soft-hold" - not exactly like it's fully on hold, just very slowly going at it. Kinda like Lordlichi's Celestia.
Hope you will get your crative juices flowing sooner or later. But never force anyrhing. This is your hobby, not your job. If a hobby starts being a chore stop doing it.
I'm a massive motherfucker when it comes to fonts and typography so I will criticize these from that point of view, while they are smartly designed gauges I feel that the late gauges (squares) could do better with something along the lines of an early grotesque sans-serif, the likes of Helvetica, Neue Haas Unica, Akzidenz Grotesk, instead of the humanist-ish sans serif you have there, as generally from my understanding of type history it wasn't used as much in Italy and generally had more use in print and/or larger-scale operations where absolute legibility was required, it also helps that FIAT were massive fans of Helvetica in gauge usage throughout the 70's and 80's, and Italy in general as well. For the early round gauges I'm less sure of what you could use, my 3 minutes of research lead me into believing a more accurate choice would be something akin to condensed Franklin Gothic (though I don't believe it would be the best choice), also a grotesque sans-serif, other choices could come from that style of font, things like Gothic Condensed (Alternate Gothic), etc. I would honestly not listen to this suggestion as much as I have less knowledge of the topic.
I like this, but please make one where the top number on the speed gauge is higher. You do have a Corse variant planned. High numbers on the speed guage were bragging rights back in the day. This is a gripe I have with dev Covet. The gauge only goes to 180km/h even if the factory sport models can go faster. So my humble request is; Please make at least one gauge that goes up to 220km/h or 240km/h. You don't need to be fancy just slap a red "Corse" in the middle of it. It will make the config with that gauge feel sporty and powerful. Some people like to drive from the first person perspective. If the gauges don't feel right, it brakes the immersion.
The numbers on the speedometer are pretty realistic because they do not represent the top speed. That was put in a good amount of IRL cars to prevent excessive speeding. --- Post updated --- Good job. What is "Lordichi's Celestia" mod you speak of?
The dials look amazing, especially the circular ones which fit the piccolina's style really well. Just take as long as you need and want to create this mod, there is no hurry
