In the 50s radio could cost as much as 1/10 of price of this car. So even if there was a radio not many people could afford one.

Even up to the 1990s radios were optional extras on the most budget cars (the Skoda Favorit LXi for example here in the UK) - hell you can even get a Dacia Sandero these days without a radio!

Radio was aftermarket install often because of tax reasons on many countries.

Factory equipment increased price of the car a lot as it got car tax which could be more than 50% in some places.

Then we come to a point of what one could hear from the radio, on highway speeds little cars were pushed to maximum and noise was a LOT, driver and co-driver discussing by yelling was not very well heard to back seat for example.

Hearing protection would of been needed with such.

I do remember being in VW Beetle during hail storm and that thing did not have even roof lining, it was impossible to bare without plugging your ears, like being inside of a drum or something.

Engine noise was one thing, but road noise and wind noise was much worse, on gravel roads you could not hear the engine much at all, radio, well that was listened when car was parked mostly, there was not enough volume to actually hear it when driving.

Even up to cheap 80's cars radio was not really usable at high way speeds.

100% realism here of course is not very good, BeamNG does not want to get sued from causing hearing loss, which those old cars did cause.

Sometimes not even in today's cheap cars. My daily commuter is an I4, 1.200cc, 5 speed... Screams like a banshee over 110km/h on the highway... :)

Anyway, I want to thank @Falkrum and @Nadeox1, we had the most productive private conversation over this car and some of my concerns, which were promptly addressed in no time.

Thank you for listening... and for caring. Very, very much appreciated! :)

In Europe, compacts and smaller cars didn't have a factory radio in base trims until mid-90s.

I would think so. I don’t think any new skins are released that aren’t colourable.
