Re: B-25 Mitchell I don't know how difficult this is to do, but when you let the props turn in different directions, the aircraft won't turn in the air anymore (I mean that the cockpit turns to the left after take off). Are you able to do that? The aircraft would be perfect then! greets, YoMaaan
Re: B-25 Mitchell Close, but that's not it. All aircraft from the 1930s and early 40s had propellers spinning in the same direction, regardless of the number of engines. This meant that they suffered from torque effect, but the more engines they had, the less severe it was (Almost none in 4-engined aircraft, unbelievably strong in single-engined). The P-38 Lightning featured counter rotating props, so they spun in opposite directions and hence cancelled each other's torque out, but before it, all US aircraft did not, including the B-25. - - - Updated - - - They spun in the same direction on the real life aircraft, so they do in game. This is historical accurate, not a bug. - - - Updated - - - Mitch, now that we have actual aircraft controls (Roll, Pitch and yaw) in the setup menu, do you plan on making that aircraft able to use that?
Re: B-25 Mitchell You did a great job on this plane, the detail is amazing! On top of that it drops bombs that actually explode, that's the icing on the cake! Well done sir!
Re: B-25 Mitchell Say, Mitch, can we get some keys mapped to lower and raise the flaps? The plane behaves exactly as its real life counterpart (At least as its flight sim counterpart), but the lack of flaps mean short take offs cannot be achieved. Lowered to 22.5 degrees allowed take offs from 120 mph (normal take off speed) and lowered all the way down allowed for a lift off at 90! Maybe something like holding down the T key to lower them and Y for raising. That way we'd get the precise control most games lack, as they instead off for toggling between raised, combat, takeoff and landing positions.
Re: B-25 Mitchell i agree completely with this. flaps would make things a whole lot easier and realistic especially landings
Re: B-25 Mitchell Anyone else had the problem where the engines kinda stall and the plane turns like this? (imported from here)
Re: B-25 Mitchell Yes, I have the same problem as Dummiesman, and neither of the helicopters work either.
Re: B-25 Mitchell I do believe the new update screwed flying up. Well, now perhaps we can get real flying controls, since the inputmaps have them?
Re: B-25 Mitchell Since Mitch seems to no longer be working on this, I started tweaking some deformation, fixing some model stuff, doing that nose, etc. so that's what happened there It's still not textured right
Re: B-25 Mitchell If you're tweaking it, does that mean you can tweak the mapping? It's just so...weird.
Re: B-25 Mitchell Mitch will you work on this plane and get it working again, or did the update screw flying up forever?
Re: B-25 Mitchell I have some radial sounds if you want them, ive got 3 different sounds for 3 different power levels or a constant hum sound (xplanes dc-3 sound)
Re: B-25 Mitchell I also have that problem, and the right engine seems to be malfunctioning and wobbles around when I increase throttle. This issue doesn't seem to affect any of the single-engine planes available, though.
Re: B-25 Mitchell Does anyone else have a problem where the plane always turns right? I start up the engine and the plane immediately veers to the right irreversibly. Does anyone know what is causing this and how to fix it? On a side note, are the engines supposed to be slow? The engines take forever to warm up, especially on the lower throttles. I can't use the higher throttles because the plane nearly shakes itself apart from the vibration. So if anyone knows how to fix this, it'd be much appreciated.
