Haha yeah that was bought used on ebay too ages ago. Thats my main rig i use when at Uni, which is 600 miles away. I'm now home for summer, and have been using the Q6600 for a long time, but well it'll now be replaced with a 2500K. It'll probably not be updraded ever again, since by the time it might need it i wont be coming home for large amounts of time anymore. Nope, mobos fine. Just cant use it, its two countries away
I might upgrade my 3770k to the 4930k eventually, i havent found any benches with this cpu. just a 3930k hitting some impressive numbers. Think the 4930k will hit the 100 score?
Wait for the 8 Core 16 Threads 5960X out later this year! http://www.guru3d.com/news_story/in...d_core_i7_5820k_haswell_e_cpus_specs_out.html
I only upgrade when there is a substantial improvement, that's why I waited with my Q6600 until sandry bridge came out, because I saw they had a lot of potential for overclocking and were much better architecture-wise. Now I see that 8-core intel and it looks like a substantial enough upgrade to me... I might just sell my CPU + Mobo + Ram and go for it, but I'm afraid it's gonna be expensive... If the price is right I'll just go for it.
it's 3.9GHz, im gonna overclock it to 4.2GHz soon though. first gotta get some watercooling up in this monster
Well i just rebooted stock clocks back so maybe some day Need better cooling at those clocks, hitting 40celcius while doing nothing
I have a completely standard MacBook Pro from 2011 with a Core 2 Duo at 2.4GHz and 4Gb of ram... not the kind of monsters that all you guys have but still pretty good for its age This should be a good standard benchmark for you guys though because its completely standard and not overclocked in any way.
Ahem... So clocked cpu with amd cpu overdrive. Banana show it's still at 3.5 but it is at 4.2. And wtf results
Yep well no photoshop here My cpu thinks it's a banana i guess Edit: Now max is 1126 Mbeams/s I think i go stock clocks now Or Should i somehow test can my cpu walk the talk ?
