The gravel road system is well connected to the surrounding road network. A straight, approximately 1 km long asphalt traverse makes it possible to have continuous rally stages that reach into the desert and access the huge gravel area there. They are then very long and also have high-speed sections. I haven't driven all the variants myself yet (I'm mostly building them at the moment). I'm excited to see what can be done . Also I decided to make all these roads a bit wide and have not so much collision objects directly besides the road, so it doesn't end up in a full crash that often. You can then find the ideal line yourself and chase time. I also have some route alternatives where both paths are not the same length but take about the same amount of time to complete, or a slightly shorter one but with more risk, so that you can choose strategically for a stage or see advantages for your driving style. Of course, you would also need alternative checkpoints for this. I don't know if BeamNG offers something like that. --- Post updated --- PS: In order to publish gameplay related add-ons for this map like timetrails or stages, I would ask you to get my permission first, because the map is still in a very early stage and some of the roads may still change. It would be a shame if we became dependent on updates or if it clashed with my plans. But of course I am always open to suggestions . Let's first manage the "ultra pre alpha" release .
I make these rally stages for my privat server(use), so don't worry(I play for fun, not a content creator), and I do that when I think you are ready with the map, it is a lot of work, so it would be a shame if you moved a road and my work would be vanished. But I saw the possebility's when I saw your movie, so rally on!!!!!!!
No. I have my sky setup with several animated cloud layers and sky gradients. My futur plans are dynamic weather and weather events and they will be based on that. Additionally, I have made a global adjustment to many colors and using such image-altering mods would disrupt my work.
Oh nice news we got here. And now that I got money with Christmas I'll definitely buy this map on day 1 of release. --- Post updated --- About performance, I don't know if this has already been asked or if I already asked, compared to West Coast in Ultra graphics, how many FPS and memory/GPU usage do you get on Homerange? What specs do you have for the test?
Happy new year to everyone (bit late but from heart)! Besides that I have to sing: Don't you knoooohow ~ the map will be free! Additionaly there will be paied WIP support versions about every two months. If you like you can save your Christmas money for that, be up to date then and send me some tailwind for the long way to completion . I was able to test the map yesterday on a different "potato" system with only 16GB RAM. BeamNG complained that more than 80% of the RAM was used, but the map worked perfectly with various vanilla vehicles and mods. The whole map is extremely optimized and even with an old graphics card you can play smoothly. This is always very important to me, in addition to the high level of detail. And I also want to show that there are very good optimization options, so that a beautiful huge filled map can be designed not only for high-end systems. If you like you can support me right now: Donate via Ko-fi.
I really like your uncompromising approach to optimization and performance. A lot of people should cut a slice of that, me included...
Oh ok, well I only have a GT 1030 with 16GB of RAM. For example, in 1080p I can't run the new Car Jump Arena because it's too much detailed, but it runs better in 720p. I'll see if it runs well when this will be released. Also, what are the differences between the free version and the paid WIP version? Does that means that every 2 months there will be new content?
The difference between free and paid WIP versions is only the working time. Just like in a pipeline, the paid version becomes free after two months and then there is another new version. So you can support me as often as you want and enjoy the latest inventions or just wait until this version becomes free. There will be a lot of new content and the price for each version will be extremely low. I want everyone to be able to have the fun even if they can't pay, but of course I will need financial support at some point.
There will be no discount for the paid versions. As I said, the price will be at the lowest level. Donating AND buying is welcome just what you like. You can give support in the way you like. The more support I will get the more worktime can be spent into BeamNG projects. I have spent one year now to bring this map to the current state: you will definitely get this service for free. Again, the price of the paid versions will be so low that it cannot be considered as compensation for my work. Therefore, I would be very happy to receive additional donations.
Ok, I wanted to include this map in a BeamNG clip once it gets finished and that's when I saw you'll release this map soon
Man, That's so cool, i can't wait to test wip versions on some old tech It looks like very fair conditoons to get this map. That's exactly how it's told: Wolf ain't hungry and sheep's alive. I hope You'll recive more than it deserves just for this generous plan, that you thing also about weaker ones, good luck with that
The income from Pi-Water's speed camera system has led to a modernization of the local airport without any lengthy bureaucracy . The runway was extended by a full 35m (!) at considerable expense and the airfield borders harmoniously on a nature reserve with rare species now. Where else can frogs and Antonovs coexist so peacefully?
