It's likely an issue with the firewall. I have the same problem. Turning it off allows the app to run.
IOS is more complicated to get on, Android is so much easier to build and release programs on but I am sure the Devs have IOS in mind eventually when they get around to it so dont worry
Yeah Android is 100% free to code on where as you have to pay on IOS from $100 to $300 to code on...Android wins because it charges the insane price of $0 to code on
Hopefully in the next few days I'll have my macbook online in which case I'll see if I can build the iOS code from the github, doesnt help any of you guys but I want to see if it works for myself
Its free to develop for your own device for iOS now, you do not require a paid license until you wish to publish to the store
Exactly yeah I just feel that Apple is trying to make you pay for everything through the nose....they are overpriced as hell PCs and Android are far better than anything by Apple....Apple are specialists, they charge $20,000 for a top end Apple computer, $900 for the pc itself and $19,100 for the Apple logo thats how I see it
Well no, its just google do also require you to pay a developers license to publish for android. There genuinely isnt any difference between how it works between android and iOS now except the ability to simply distribute an APK elsewhere on android. For reference you can also dev unlock your windows phone and sideload apps without having the full windows phone SDK installed, not quite as simple as android but thats a fairly acceptable midground between iOS and android to me. All 3 platforms, completely free to develop for your own device. iOS cant deploy apps to your own device outside of the SDK. Windows phone require tool to sideload apps. Android full sideloading. All 3 platforms paid publishing. For reference. I have written apps for all 3 platforms. Its actually the only reason I own a mac or an iPhone
Technically it was APK built from modified source The issue seems to be on devices, which rely on software-based orientation sensors (read more here - http://developer.android.com/guide/topics/sensors/sensors_overview.html). So far no MediaTek-based devices have worked with unmodified app. If it says that, then most likely there is no open connection between phone and PC. Check that the Windows firewall allows BeamNG through. There are some (usually corporate) WiFi networks, which don't allow network traffic on other ports.
Requires full 4-5gb XCode installation though, which of course is mac only too. You dont need that for windows phone (although should be noted the windows phone dev tools are currently windows only)
Could it be possible that the volume buttons were made for gear changing? It would be a bit harder, than screen controls or something but it adds to the realism of not being able to have both hands on the steering wheel, when changing gears dammit
It's possible on the app side. However, as far as I know, there are only three (steering angle, throttle rate, brake rate) variables transmitted. Including other elements requires updating the game.
