I noticed this, I just thought it was that the effect was from the bulb, so the plastic was in front of it... But it's also with the headlights and windows under water and in very dense fog. This NEEDS to be fixed @gabester
I appreciate your answer and thanks for your help. =D --- Post updated --- Thank you guys for you help! I fixed the strange lighting rectangles by turning off the Bloom.
You don't need to turn off bloom... it makes the game look much better anyway. I wrote you a very nice and detailed post on how to fix your solution while keeping bloom off. Your settings are simply messed up, moving some sliders will resolve the issue and you'll still have bloom.
If you have some nice postfx settings, do you mind sharing the files here please? You know I'm all about the visuals
To me, turning of the bloom made it less bright and It found it to be a satisfying brightness level and it still looked good. I will still try your settings though. --- Post updated --- Then somehow the bloom become enabled again somehow. xD Here is how my game looks currently. A Picture of Snow Marauder It looks better if you click on the image to enlarge it. That is all.
I used to use ReShade, but I gradually began to retire effects. Since the last update I've abandoned it entirely now that the game has native SMAA support. That's not to say I don't spend the majority of my time tweaking graphics, but now I'm only using in-game postFX and settings. However, my current settings are really nothing special nor worth sharing, as they're not very far from the vanilla postfx config. Thanks for the interest though, and I'll be happy to help you with your preset if you need anything.
Thanks to you! Nice reply! Actually I would appreciate if you could play a bit with the preset and find a way of making it a bit less bright at day and more bright at night (it's almost pitch dark). And don't tell me any instructions please! I have already tried for so many hours that I can only come to you! Why do your pictures never have the preset enabled?
Well, I fooled around with it for a while and here's what I got. Take it, use it, modify it, take inspiration from it, or throw it in the trash, go ahead I don't care. Day time is now no longer beyond white point, and night time is more realistic (not as dark, but still darker than vanilla). I've disabled DOF and SMAA in the preset because the native SMAA is about the same for less performance hit and I personally don't like DOF. It looks nice to me, but our monitors, ingame postFX settings and eyes are all different. For a good look at it, turn the day/night cycle to play on East Coast, I haven't tested Utah or anywhere else. This is really for Cessni, but anyone else can try it if they want.
I do have it enabled, that is how it looks in my game. --- Post updated --- Does this look any better? ? ? The only difference are the maps.
I am afraid that you did not install it correctly. You should see this difference: https://sfx.thelazy.net/games/screenshot/36243/ Send me screenshots of your Bin64 folder.
How do I change background color? I can't even see the colors because it's too washed out. GG, cessni, you broke my game.
