You've lost me here, I no longer know exactly what you are describing. Maybe you could illustrate what you've done with a couple more pictures.
The first sign I made is all good now but it still flickers. But for the overhead sign, all textured and ready to go, Sketchup will not export the materials.cs for it even though I am giving each asset its own folder.
Until I can get all the texturing stuff in BeamNG with my assets sorted out, I'm modeling the assets and making the rest of the roads. Here's the next sign I modeled:
OK. I got both signs in BeamNG without any missing textures, although one of the textures on the overhead sign is incorrect.
I've attached a demo map with the sign constructed the right way. Inside the zip (in the art folder) you'll also find a Sketchup .skp file to look at. Workflow: Build box(s). Draw "sign" area and extrude. Create material, set scale appropriately (not 1" by 1"). Apply material w/ paint bucket. Right click on face and re-position texture to get the texture aligned correctly. Export and go.
Send over the .skp file. We're already familiar with the bad results you are getting, so we need to look at the input.
You my friend need to take a bit more time with your modeling. The bridge isnt bad,but you could work with it a bit more and make it a bit better. Oh and you could try to add a road texture to your bridge in sketchup.

Eh.. The bridge is bad. Sketchup isn't the greatest thing, but it allows for much more beautiful models than that. I can't really tell what kind of bridge it's supposed to be. I agree that much more effort is needed. I'm not sure about adding a road texture on top though. Do the stock bridges have a road texture built in?
Cmon, it's one of my first real models in Sketchup. And yes, the stock bridges do have road textures built in.
That's fine, but I'm not going to lie to you about it being bad! Can you post a picture of what it's supposed to represent? It looks like your bridge has steep ramps leading onto and off of it - not normal for a bridge.
