I can't wait for the reveal of this map, you don't even know how cool it would be, my childhood game that I played on PS3 like, 8 years ago and game, that I play everyday at once, thakns for your work.
Alright now. Forget Discord links.. Who has the second demo or full map on their hard-drive? Since this is potentially a dead mod: anyone who has this, please share a link here. Nobody can access the Discord so, let's all help each other out here and share it here. Otherwise, this may be another promising city-map showcased to the community that never gets the gameplay it deserves. edit: I'm sure somebody has this on their drives from back when the Discord was accessible..
Better than nothing. Most of these ambitious projects die and never see the light of day. BeamNG forums has a reputation for that. Just search up any map with the name "City" in it. What are you talking about?
I don't want to argue on the forums, but incase you're new, leaking projects from people is essentially frowned upon by the entire community. You want a copy of the WIP map? Ask Falefee. Dont ask any of his beta testers to leak the mod on the forums. End of story. Edit: minor spelling mistake
Understandable. Though, uh, frowned upon..? Canceled and abandoned projects that never get released in their final state should be frowned upon.
Modders are allowed to choose whether they want to keep working on a mod or not. Nobody is obligated to make mods at all, and many people have lives to deal with that mean they can’t do things so insignificant as making a mod for a video game. Canceled mods may be disappointing, but they are NOT frowned upon and should not be.
Yes, that is their choice though, within doing so, much hype and attention has been brought upon a mod thus, It would only be common courtesy for such modders to release their projects "as-is" to the community. There are players who are content with the scraps given to them rather than nothing but a mirage. Alongside of that, there are many other people whom if obtained enough interest, would happily finish a project in previous modder's place. So yes, it is a shame to announce promising content to the community only for it to halt with no means of release. Life happens, understandable.
Ok, everyone let's just let the modder decide what to do, but I still have a little bit of hope someone will finally come back to work at this map, It doesn't have to be the same guy, just someone new that has enough time to finish the map. I have just one question, did someone heard about the "Transmogrifier" program that can modify the game's assets? It modifies them, so then these assets can be thrown into different game. I don't know how to use it, but if someone does, can it work out with Burnout and BeamNG?
