UPDATE: April 2015: Thread closed, follow up is there: http://www.beamng.com/threads/13551-BeamNG-Personal-Micro-Blog(s)-May-2015 We'll post some nonsense here that is not worth a dev-blogpost since it might confuse the hell out of people of what the company is doing or where it is moving or alike. Comments welcome, try to be friendly to the company guys, they do this for fun beside their daytime work. Please try to not annoy the hell out of everyone. Replies have to be related to the posts, everything else gets deleted. The opinions in this thread are the author's and do not reflect the company's one in any way. tl;dr: Expect your reply being deleted if there is the slightest chance of derailing the thread. We would hate to lock this thread down for everyone. Please use the rest of the forum for the everything else. If you want to ask questions that are not directly related to this thread, please do not use this thread - - - Updated - - - We got a lot of crashreports for the latest version - thanks for helping us and submitting them! This is how it looks like after the analysis tool sorted them into categories:
Finally sort-of fixed my sleeping schedule. No longer staying up til 8 am and waking up after sunset. Also, 200BX jbeam is pretty much "complete" (though nowhere near finished ) No coffee pic from me. But I think I'm gonna drink one of those Rockstar Horchatas that I bought. EDIT: Apparently I'm in the middle of a hurricane right now. Holy crap it's windy.
Can we see the race parts? Or are they not completed yet? It's now my new favourite car - I love how it looks! Nice work gabe (and mitch)
Yes indeed, they open quite nicely No race parts yet. Mitch is doing all the modeling and texture work for it; I'm just responsible for the initial design, shell, and jbeam work. Finish basics first, then we make race parts.
Maybe Need to fix a bunch of odd mesh bugs first, and get some other missing stuff in there, like the glass.
I really hope you keep some watch over mitch because ... lets just say that some of the proportions and overall model quality on the one that slipped through the updates are not too accurate >.> But yeah, Mitch is cool and the model i have is old, so i am pretty confident it will (or alredy has) get better.
He modeled all of that underbody/suspension/engine detail before he even worked on the Sunburst, so he was kinda flying blind We're fixing all of it. Your imported mesh has broken smoothing anyways...
I apply edgesplit as the last step of exporting a model, do everything i want before, and since i did not have any intentions to modify this model as i know it is toast, i did not bother with the smoothing groups.
Got the wind, power outages and flooding two days ago. Been an odd winter on the west coast for sure. Enjoy the fresh air buddy!! Loving the 200BX and anyone taking potshots at Mitch this early in the game just sucks. ON TOPIC.......
can confirm, also live in California, very windy and rainy anyway, 200bx looks awesome, of all the cars currently in-game what would you say it's performance is closest to? like is it covet level of intensiveness, or moonhawk? (referring to cpu intensiveness of course)
Says the one who shouldn't even have it yet Besides it looks just fine from what I've seen, but yeah its not going to be the most amazing accuracy on something that Mitch was doing as a first official project.
Working on the new integrity checking still ... now generates the json data correctly: [xcode=js] { "buildinfo" : "buildbot build 214 on winbuildbot - Sun 02/08/2015 - 20:39:48.32", "integritydata" : [ [ "/BeamNG.drive.bat", 208, "7279F56A" ], [ "/BeamNG.drive.exe", 702464, "17A0DB5F" ], [ "/BeamNG.drive.pdb", 7262208, "627E6780" ], [ "/icon-beamng.ico", 36474, "3668F42C" ], [ "/main.cs", 10398, "3AAB3F5E" ], [ "/main.lua", 6063, "F04D969C" ], [ "/members.txt", 257, "CE5A08AD" ], [ "/runTests.cs", 127, "18E7E996" ], [ "/startup.ini", 281, "B46A9845" ], [ "/torque3d-license.txt", 1084, "471AC77F" ], [ "/torquedev_final.zip", 3655729, "1E19461F" ], [ "/userPath.ini", 319, "8A6F7FE5" ], [ "/vehicles/van/default.png", 45547, "54DE66D2" ], [ "/vehicles/van/deliverytruck.pc", 1316, "CCA21E9F" ], ... ], "product" : "BeamNG.drive", "version" : "0.3.7.7" } [/xcode]
Yeah, it has rained an inch consistently for the last few days here in Portland, so crazy flooding is an issue, but it's really warm too, I mean in comparison to our normal winter temperatures. Gabe, what year is the 200BX supposed to be? My dad owned 7 Nissan 200sx's, years ranging from 87' to 89'.
I'd say production would've run from the 89-94 model years. As for CPU intensity: about the same as the Sunburst. Also, here's something:
By analysis tool, do you mean that it checks which file caused the crash, names a folder after it, then automatically puts the received logs relating to that file inside it? If that's the case then that's some amazing organisation, I love when things just work like that.
