1970 Gavril Barstow In Depth Review

At last, the new addition to Gavrils performance line up, the Barstow, with 3 different V8 options and "Road Sport" models that have 4 barrel carburetors.
Comfort
The barstow in standard form has a relatively soft suspension setup, the "Road Sport" models have a harder suspension setup that is more for performance, the standard form suspension is very absorbant to any potholes but there is a bit of body roll, the RS model fixes this but is harder
Performance
All of the V8s are good and make high horsepower figures, although the car doesnt have a very high revving engine as it uses a pushrod setup, there is an Inline 6 available but avoid this as it is very slow and only makes around 130 horsepower, the RS model cars have 4 barrel carbs and give gains in performance, the three V8s on offer are as follows, A 291cui V8, 353cui V8 and 423cui V8.
Reliablity
Overall the car is very well built, but the biggest V8 can overheat quite easily if you push it too hard.
Bottom Line:
The barstow makes a lot of power, is fun to drive but not all that efficient or comfortable.

Very slow anemic I6
Radiator isnt up to the job for cooling the 423 CUI V8
