This is a great! Super easy to use. I hope eventually all the vanilla assets will be in there as well. So good!
I wonder if anyone already did something with this tool, also what feature would be most useful? The program was focused on pbr terrain first because setting that up could be tricky.
I started looking into level creation a few months ago and this tool really helped a lot as it is difficult to get one's head around how things work at first. What I remember as being confusing at first was that not all the ground materials were working "out of the box". Now that I've been fiddling with the level editor and different methods to do things (mostly terrain, roads, trees, static meshes and their materials) and have some understanding of how materials and things work, I'm planning to start a new project to try some things I've learned over the past months. I plan to use your tool again to get started and will hopefully be able to give better feedback then. I'm planning to do this in the next few days unless life has other plans.
Ok, so I did quickly make a new map using this tool. Don't have much to add in terms of feedback as it only took like 2 minutes and everything pretty much worked right away. A compact guide on how to add/make/copy/link terrain materials would be nice but I'm not sure how to approach this. Most tutorials focus on combined base textures but in a creative workflow solid color base materials are better imo - the difference between these was hard to understand at first. EDIT: a short video on how to get a new map up and running and add some terrain materials and start sculpting terrain would be brilliant, maybe there is one out there already? If not I just might make my first video tutorial some day Also: This tool is somehow much better than copying a map and starting that way.
