I'm going to try and get F@H working again today. I had it running a couple of days ago, but it did nothing but freeze my computer. I'm going to uninstall it and give it another go. Hopefully I can get it working again. I'd really like to surpass the 10 million points mark. - - - Updated - - - Alright, so I have F@H up and running. Hopefully this will work smoothly this time. - - - Updated - - - So F@H is not cooperating once again. I've been letting it run overnight and through this morning, but it is at an estimated 10 more days to finish, 1600ppd, and only at 8% progress completed. It's not frozen, but it just isn't utillizing my GPU. When I open up cam, it says my GPU is only at about 5%-15% load. :/ I have no idea what is wrong.
You're on the latest AMD drivers right? You might have to go over to the folding forum. I kinda remember this issue from a few builds back. Good luck!
I can try and use the beta drivers. I give that a go later. - - - Updated - - - I'm at a loss. Updated my drivers and no dice. Still freezes and won't use more than 15% of my GPU. I guess I'm down for the count for a while.
Ooh. Sorry noah, but I just passed you. Less than 40k points ahead though and by GPU might be dying so we are in the same boat. I was so close to passing seadoo too but he noticed and is back up. I can't contend with 200k ppd.
So I have the netbook motherboard on the back of my second monitor as a little server for my TV shows and stuff so I can access it on my phone or computer or whatever. I also started FaH on it because why not. Just below 100PPD. It's something.

I'll try and give it another go. It hasn't been working the last few times I've tried. It kept only using ~5% of my GPU.

I repasted my CPU/GPU. This time using good paste. (Noctua NT-H1.) I also got better air filters and flipped my PSU around to intake from in the case. (Otherwise the filter I put on it gets clogged up in like two weeks. My old PSU died from overheating and the inside was just absolutely filled with dust and hair.) So now everything is running cooler. I should fold again. Also I ordered a Raspberry Pi B+ kit. How many PPD would that get? (At least a thousand million is my guess.)
Oh boy, my 280x is freaking out again. It will not stay compute stable, even downclocked. I guess it's time to RMA. I'll do it during a school week so I don't miss out too much. December was a sweet month for my ppd though.
I have decided to start folding again since I don't really use my computer. I can just leave my i7 3770K folding all the time if you guys think that would help, I'm not sure what ppd things get anymore its been a while. gpu folding is out of the question since my 7950 is on its last legs these days and that would be the final nail in its coffin.
I'd get back into folding but: a) can't leave PC running 24/7 on and folding because its loud as shit and i sleep a feet from it b) parents+school
Why is it that everyone here has failing top end GPUs? I'm just sitting here with my (probably) ex-mining GPU that works perfectly. If yours dies, please gimme. I'll fiks it.
When I get my second 270 I'll likely have that folding a lot. Whenever I try to get back into folding I seem to always just let it go for awhile and then just never open FaH for a long time..
