Is the 270X good for folding? I got mine for $200.

 

Quite nice, especially for that price. They're $270 at newegg now.

 

I'm thinking that I will just end up getting a GTX 770. The only chance I have of AMD's cards coming down is the fact that Bitcoins are such a volatile currency. They could crash and burn tomorrow and lose all their value in an instance (although I'm not betting that it will happen).

 

I just need a better CPU, and I will be very happy with this PC, along with a G27.

 

CPU wise, if you have the money, get a 4770k and a nice mobo. Or if you are on the cheap side, get an 8320, overclock the snot out of it, sell the 6100, and profit.

 

I might as well go for that 8320, since I am used to a slower PC and I like cheap, so AMD is fine. Also, I only need a new CPU, not an entirely new mobo.

 

Yeah, I think that the 8320 is the better option anyways. The i7 is nice and all if you can utilize it's hyperthreading, but then you'd have to get a new mobo if you switched to Intel, so there is no point.

 

The best FM2 socket CPU gives a whopping *5%* performance increase over my current CPU with overclocks..

 

Yeah, don't go APU. Not for BeamNG at least lol

 

I got the complete system for $150 at the time. Didn't have a job then, so it was the best option.

Did you turn it off and on again?

 

Not the computer, but I shut off folding and restarted it.

Well, I can't fix the damn problem. It makes no sense. I changed nothing at all to make this happen :|

 

Is the progress advancing at all? Or is the ETA just borked?

 

It went to 3% ETA now at 264 days

 

Reinstall FaH?

If you don't already have the beta version, I say get it. I like it a lot better than the latest release. (I mainly like the improved UI. Especially the one in the web control.)

In other news, I got my GPU speed to kick up again and I'll be leaving it folding overnight. (I need some points. I already have over 190 WUs. Them Core 2 Duos pump out WUs like crazy but with little points.)

Ok, so I installed the beta client. I am only gonna fold with my GPU for now, but the base credit is down to 6000 instead of 13000. I'm also getting an ETA of 6.5 days and 600ppd

So I uninstalled the beta client and installed the regular client. Problem is that it won't start the WU. Stuck at 0% with no PPD and no ETA. :/

 

Hmm. Uninstall FaH and restart your PC then reinstall the regular client? If that doesn't work maybe reinstall GPU drivers? It's worth a try.
