FYI folding@home uses an almost negligible amount of bandwidth, units aren't very large in size at all and even then only downloaded every 8-12 hours or so on average depending on the hardware and project. Just my 2c

See, my dad doesn't believe that. I can fold now but I can't really be leaving my PC on 24/7.

Another problem is that I want to try to host a Minecraft server for someone (It's a nice server but they have crap internet causing lag for everyone.) but I can't seem to find any info on how much bandwidth it would use.

I'd kill to have 250GB of data, we are stuck with 20GB on 5/1 DSL. Although we are getting unlimited 50mbps Fiber soon.

    Grr. I'm jealous.

We're going to Maine to visit my grandparents in a few days. They have unlimited internet but it's kinda pointless because the speed is so awful. (I can't even watch Netflix or YouTube or anything like that if anyone else is using the internet and even then it ranges from 240p to 480p.)

You guys and your silly data caps. I have unlimited data at 15down/5up. Could be faster, but good enough.

I think we're supposed to have like a 500gb cap... but we've never actually been capped, though we can easily use 1tb+ of data per month. Usually 60/20 speeds.

Recently I've been using something like 500GB/month on one PC. Probably closer to 750 in total. :O
I thought data caps were on satellite only.

Back to folding after all the cryptocoins crashed. I have something like $5 in assorted coins.

I am going to restart folding, but I need the heat program back. Anyone know the heat program that gives the temp. of the CPU and GPU?

    I use HWMonitor.

As for data caps, I dunno what it's like for other people but I think we just get charged extra for the billing period. My mom said she was going to be getting rid of the cable (Which I really don't mind since I rarely use it anymore and most of the stuff on it is crap now.) but that has never happened. (I guess she needs her TLC and Food Channel.) That's a nice thing about my grandparent's house, the TV is decent (like a 40 inch LCD) but they have a satellite DVR which gets a ton of channels. The only problem is that being in Maine pretty much forces me to be outside.

Why didn't you do two question marks? It's a core 15 work unit anyway. Pretty horrible ppd.
    *squints loudly*
    Plural? Ok. :p

I had to make a .gif for a class. Here you go.

EDIT: It isn't working, is it?

Jeebus, been lightyears since I've been here.

Going to get folding again eventually. PC has been used for a whole lotta nothing ever since I moved away from mining.

Lightyears are a measurement of distance there eh. Not time. ;) 7950 was acting really weirdly on the desktop last time I tried to use it in my rig, has been off ever since I got it and think its on its last legs. Time to send er out in a blaze of glory
