Hehe. That's because I folded on some school computers using the web app which meant they did a WU every 40-60 minutes but made very few points.

    Oh haha
--also i live in CT too, no security system, only lock te doors at night and when no one is home. I never even imagined having to use a security system, it seems like huge hassle, esp. in my area. Although there are places hat i can definately see a security system being justified

I live on a farm, we are quite far back from the main road, you have to drive about half a mile up a private road and through the farm yard (a few warehouses and 2 other residences) in order to reach my house.

Some short stories mostly before we got the cameras.

Mum downstairs while home alone doing some fitness workout DVD. She apparently turned to look out of the window during her DVD and saw this guy staring through the window straight at her. You wouldn't expect someone to be looking through your window in a residential street let alone in a lone house in the ass end of nowhere. Police came out, nothing left behind except some tyre marks on our driveway which didn't match any of our cars.

We are not on the gas mains and use an oil tank. Had the tank filled, 2 weeks later its absolutely empty. Whenever a delivery of oil is made we make sure to check the tank level, it was definitely full. If we had our cookers flow valve fully opened, water immersion heater on 24/7 and the heating full blast it would last alot more than 2 weeks. We had the entire system leak tested, no leaks at all. Where did it all go then? There did appear to be 2 depressions in the ground near the tank where the police think a truck might have been parked.

I was home alone, sitting in kitchen having lunch. Heard a vehicle pull up and then the front door slowly opening. I shouted out to see if mum was home or something, instead heard a bloke mumbling something along the lines of "oh shit" before hearing a car door open and close, ran to a window in time to see a white van back off the driveway.

We've been out in the garden and seen vehicles pull onto the drive, see us and then leave again.

And the 1 I found absolutely hilarious and an arrest was made over. Brother and I home alone, doorbell rang. I answered it and there was a man in plain blue overalls asking to check the gas meter. Claimed to be from british gas. I asked him where his uniform was and could he show ID to which he said his normal uniform was in the wash and his ID was clipped to it. Told him that we don't have gas and that if he doesn't immediately leave then I'll call the police. Brother took a photo of his van (also missing british gas markings) and we gave that to the police anyway.

We've had a few more since the cameras going up, but I find they also prove useful for when your family do stupid shit in plain view of them.

I live in a pretty highly populated part of town in the suburbs. The side of the city I live in is rather quite high income for the area. Most people in this area are upper middle to lower upper class peoples so it can be a rather high target for burglars. We have a security alarm that goes off, but it doesn't alert the police nor do we have cameras. We just lock our doors and the only time we arm the alarm is at night or if we are on vacation. We haven't had a break-in, but we did have some jackass steal our Stihl weed wacker. From our front yard while my dad was watching 30 feet away in our garage. Some people have a lot of guts.

I can put the 2 together. Went to a hardware store looking for 2 stroke oil for our strimmer (or what you guys call a weed wacker anyway). Asked an assistant where it was, he bought me to these little bottles they sell which are measured out perfectly so if you add them to 5 litres of petrol you'll get a perfect 50:1 mix. He asked if the strimmer was 50:1 and I said no it was 40:1 but I'll take the little bottle anyway. He tried to advise me against it because apparently its dangerous and its really hard to work out how much of this oil and petrol I'll need to mix to achieve 40:1.

1 bottle gives me 50:1 in 5 litres. Therefore it stands to reason that if you put it in 10 litres it will be diluted to 100:1 or put it in 1 litre you'll get 10:1. Therefore 1 litre per "10" to 1 you require. 4 litres of petrol required. That is very very very hard to work out, especially with a modern fuel pump telling you how many litres of petrol have just been dispensed...

We do not have an audible alarm although our CCTV system can be set to support one and mark recordings half an hour either side of the alarm triggering as important and will not over-write them. Its a loop recorder, it records until the hard drive is full and then at that point it begins to over-write the oldest data. Not sure how far back it goes, I've gone back 9 days in the recording before, but never tried to go back further.

Well. That sucks. I automatically dislike him a bit now. :p
Recently I've been doing the chrome folding app. Got me 64k ppd with a wu done every 3 minutes.

I borrowed a 1TB drive from my dad and made a complete backup of my data (Through the Windows backup thing. It's around 400GB.) and I can just install Windows with it and have it exactly the way it was when I backed it up. (I think) But the problem now is that I can't get the drives working in RAID 0. By I can't get them working in RAID I mean I don't know how. Help me. (I have RAID enabled and the controller is installed in Windows just fine. I just have no idea how to make the drives work in RAID 0.)

sorry if this info is terribly outdated, but do you have to put in any jumpers on your drives to tell them theat they should be in raid?

Actually SATA drives do retain jumper blocks.
    sata.gif
I don't think you have to change them though for RAID, although I have heard some western digital drives require pins 1+2 to be jumpered in order to function in RAID0, these ones should come jumpered in this configuration straight from factory.

The RAID setup for my machine seems to be done via bios settings so might be worth starting your search there (my laptop has a 32gb SSD and 1tb hard disk in some sort of RAID setup).

None of the ones I own have molex, but both 2.5" and both 3.5" drives in my possession have jumper blocks.
I've seen the molex on a 15000rpm drive though, can whack a higher current more reliably via the molex connector than you can SATA.

Yeah, the SATA drives do have jumper blocks but I've never had to use them. (I remember having to use those jumpers on my old computer..)

Also, I figured out how to make a RAID setup in the RAID controller BIOS and it's working! I'm restoring with the backup I made right now. If this works, should I keep the other drive as a backup drive or format it and use it for other stuff?

Aw yeah. I got it all working perfectly now. Now I have twice as much space and a bit more speed. I'll do some speed testing later to see how much better it is.
