BB10 has changed quite a bit for the better since release, come the new 10.3 update there is just KitKat left for catching up with the Android side. Friend always tells me I should get an Android but really I want to support a Canadian company that makes a solid product that does what I want and much more. I don't give a fuck if it doesn't have 400 cores at 504884 Jiggawatts with a potatoextremeHD camera, it takes nice enough pictures and I can emulate N64 native res at a solid 60fps, don't need anything more. /endrant eh.

Today I completely screwed up my new phone.

I unlocked the bootloader, that worked. I managed to get TWRP onto it. That worked. Then it all went belly-up. For some reason after I tried to flash CyanogenMod it got stuck booting (Never fully booted up, just stayed on the logo.) so I tried to wipe it. That's how I learned that even with all 4 of the custom recoveries I tried it's unable to wipe anything because it can't mount anything. (Such as /data) I managed to get it back to stock with RSD Lite. This took like 5+ hours of raging...

I signed up for XDA and I was talking with some guy who knows what he's doing and he helped me a lot but even when he looked at the logs he couldn't figure out why I was having this problem. The last thing he told me is that he's talking with the creator of TWRP (Or something) about my issue. Anyway, it's back to stock and working fine. (Except I have no warranty because I unlocked the bootloader, but whatever.)

haha I don't think it takes too much to emulate old nintendos. I have one of those cheap android netbooks with a via wm8650 in it at 800mhz and was able to emulate nes no problem. I never tried n64 though

It was refurbished... from a 3rd party amazon seller... do you really think it had a warranty in the first place?

The Sony PSP can emulate an N64, okay, it was not reliable (graphics errors are common and ocarina of time wouldn't read all inputs) but that is still a 333mhz MIPS processor emulating an N64.

Actually really not a fair comparison. The PSP cheated. The MIPS processor used in the PSP was a 32bit model in the product line replacing the product line the N64 and PS1 processors were from, the N64 used a 64 bit model though. The PSP n64 emulator had a 64 to 32 bit translator, at which point the PSP CPU itself could run the n64 code near natively. They only had to emulate the peripherals and their interfaces.
It did the same with PS1, except PS1 emulation is part of the stock firmware. It does require the PS1 images to be formatted identically to PSP UMD's though but there are tools to handle that.

PS1 has been done on the raspberry pi. N64 probably has too, similar hardware, if anything though the n64 was the higher end machine so might be harder to do, it was just crippled by a lack of ram and no storage on the cartridge. It could pull off some fancy rendering the ps1 was incapable of, but didn't have the ram to store it or the storage to actually load the source data from hence why everything was low poly with low res textures.

TIL they can remove it with an operation and I can hopefully not die then. But I'll have a huge ass scar on my chest.

Is it in your lymphnodes? I assume it is, but I don't know where they are. :/ I don't remember too much from when we had to deal with it (2008-2009) They say ladies like scars, and you could also do awesome Halloween pranks!

I just didn't think there were any in your chest. :p Glad it looks like it'll work out!

I and my two siblings are out of school so expect a bit less folding from me. We will be doing more gaming than we've been able too.

I had to uninstall F@H because it bugged out and was constantly running and I couldn't turn it off. I'll be up and running soon hopefully, but I'd like to get a couple more case fans because my computer is getting hotter than I am comfortable with.

I am getting into the habit of leaving my PC on, and once I get a bigger case, I can probably load it up with some fans. Right now all I am running at night is IRC.

Newsflash: Nokia phones are NOT indestructible. Just dropped my Nokia Lumia 822 screen down onto tile floor from about 4 feet up and complete shattered the screen like no other.

Lucky for you, replacement phone screens are cheap.. usually.

I mean digitizers are cheap. Usually the LCD panel itself doesn't break..

I have insurance on it so they will either replace the phone for free or send me the money for a new phone.
