ahaha I don't care much about corporates collecting my info. At the end of the day I'm just a bread crumb for them. Anyways, if you don't want to use YT you can pay me thru PayPal the same amount of YT membership and get the same perks. Contact me by email if interested T.
Nope. Not everything. And i don't wanna support this horrible company in any way by feeding money and data to them. They already big enough. EU laws stop them from collecting all of my information without my permission. And it's not about my single person relevance. It's about not letting bad companys supporting becomeing more a monopoly position. I don't give up on my data. I have the right to decide what happends to it. That little bread crumb is important, because same as voteting, every single one matters. --- Post updated --- Alright i will come back to it Besides from that. I just wanna remind you that there better ways to protect people from leaking your files and at the same time don't have to force people to pay for YT or to get a demo. It's only a matter of how you set it up. Like for ex. if you would attach a individual key some sort to each download by user, you could track back who leaked the file and ban that person from your discord or what ever. There are also ways to register your mod for it's copyright, right before it releases and then you can use that registration to let actual laywers taking down such reuploads by a small monthly pay to the lawers.
Yes I thought about that, but it is very effort-prone: I have sold about 300 copies so far, imagine how much it takes to encode in a jbeam a unique code of each buyer, then open BeamNG and pack the mod to a zip, then send the mod. This 300 times. And I would also need to keep a database of buyers data, to retrieve easily the leaker. And after that the only thing I can do is just to remove him from mailing list of updates. But he wants to cheat me again he just need to use another email and buy again the mods and leak. So far I managed to remove the leaks from sites, by just discussing with website owner. They were kind and believed my proof of ownership. About gumroad: I think I will keep YT membership as way of puschase because there is the side effect of improving views and overall earnings of the channel. T.
I todally understand what you mean. But i didn't mean jbeam unique code. Something more easy to do, like different texture paths that you can just replace with Notepad++. Some sort of that. But in this case, what does YT make different there? And anyway, in case of useing a Discord server or something, you could bind the buyer not just by his email adress, instead of his IP, MAC Adress or something different not fakeable. I would wish that BeamNG Devs would provide some solution to do that. Like a encryption tool with a verification system to prevent abuse of it. As a lot of mods don't exist already because of leakers and resellers (even for free mods). But from what i can say with my personal experience, leakers hate to pass a verification system, like Bots hate these. The more they have to spend they time on it to get the mod, the less likely they have the joy to leak. Like if you want a mod, but you have to put efford into it to get it, or just to edit it as to make it look your own, the less likely you would give it for free to others. Anway huge different topic, i think i said enough about it from my side. Just want to inspire people to not give up on a good system against leaks and resellers.
did you actualy get a drivers license? because I thought they made you go though driving school to get one.
Damn I wish this wasn't paid. At least I saw the project before release. (No, I'm not a 10 year old whining about a paid mod because he doesn't have a credit card) Still, If I could afford it, I would buy it. Quality mod my dude. But, I can't for... uh... fursuit making reasons.
I'm considering gumroad yes, Patreon has a mess of rules about taxes that I have no time to read. I will see if gumroad is easier. Or if you have any other suggestion I will be interested
Ko-Fi might be another one to consider: https://ko-fi.com/ I've bought a few things from different creators on this site. It's a nice buying experience, not sure what it's like for sellers though. Thanks for featuring my video too by the way!
and you got your package! Thank you very much! There are a lot of leaks out there, people like you pours fuel in my engine to continue.. T
It's really sad. And you still bringing a acceptable price. I come from the GTA modding scene and most people there charge incredible amount of money for just very poor quality mods. I hope i could have supported in the way you could bringing more stuff like this. --- Post updated --- What is this "premodded levels" about? I don't see any mentioning here
