Re: Late Beta BMW E30 M3 Best car I've driven in this game! It's the only RWD car I can actually drift on roads. The rear suspension is a bit delicate though. You can see this when you try to accelerate with the handbrake on. Great car and I wish there were more that handled like this.
Re: Late Beta BMW E30 M3 Its an awesome car but it pulls quite a bit to the left under acceleration, like the old bolide used to do, this seems alittle worse tho
Re: Late Beta BMW E30 M3 It does get tail happy very easily, but I'm sure that new tires and some downforce tweaks will remedy that. For now, try switching to a lower power engine option, lower gearing or a lower diff ratio to make it more controllable. I've found that the Group A tune is perfect for drifting down Corkscrew Mtn but not much else.
Re: Late Beta BMW E30 M3 I'm in love with this vehicle. I've always had a thing for the old M3's before it became a hipster thing. Anyway your mod is great and it seems so near completion, the collisions seem pretty spot on and it seems updating to the 1.7 Beta it fixed the passenger door denting itself for no reason while driving and eventually popping off, lol. I like the specific engine, diff and transmission specs that guy did a really good job with it. I think the tires should grip a bit more, but maybe that was just the map I was playing on, and obviously you're working on getting a bit of downforce values for it to better handle. It does pull heavily a bit when you get on the throttle to the left, I'm not sure what causes that. Some options for different suspension and tires would be cool too, like a stiff lowered suspension with soft camber for a drift bullet, and a raised softer one for rally and harsher roads. And then matching tires for those specs; slotted wheels with thin wide tires for drifting and street racing while a modified stock wheel with thicker, harsh-studded tires. The potential for this seems to go far, and I know that adding these things is a lot of work but I just love this car! Anyways I could try helping with getting downforces applied if you need it.
Re: Late Beta BMW E30 M3 Thanks for your feedback guys! It helped me to create the last beta ever Anyways, 1.8 is now out, and I'm looking forward to release tomorrow (which is also my 18th birthday )! I've added new suspension configurations and tuned the steel wheels for drifting in this update, and fixed a few JBeam errors. Generally refining what's there. I also tried to stabilize Stig, because I'm getting tired of watching him jerk [SUB](^>^) But no success there... [/SUB] Have fun, and let me know what's up! EDIT: And I added toe-in to help reduce floating and pulling
Re: Late Beta BMW E30 M3 Happy Freaking Birthday dude!! This mod shows that you're great at what you do. The modelling and deformation are fantastic. I've had tons of fun with your M3 and it only gets better with each release. Congrats on creating something that really made the game more fun, and thanks for letting me contribute in some small way to it. Thanks! I'm the guy, lol. With ky's permission, I'd like to tinker with these.
Re: Late Beta BMW E30 M3 Absolutely. You can do whatever you want, but ask before you reupload. I've even labeled the beams that control toe-in (none control camber yet)
Re: Late Beta BMW E30 M3 This is awesome, Great to see this kind of thing, Maybe a Dtm/Group a racing verson with a roll cage and racing tyres and suspension ? And maybe even a rally version ? If you look it up, Both of these were real, So I think thats a good I dea. THanks
Re: Late Beta BMW E30 M3 Sweet man, happy birthday to you tomorrow! And congrats on the new update I'm just about to download it. Didn't know you were 18, you definitely have a talent here and it can go far! So I wish you the best, if something like this is what you pursue. Any how, excited for this new update and tomorrow's release. I can probably look into getting downforces applied to correct areas too. It seems the steel wheels show up as invisible for me. I had some more ideas too; a possible turbocharger, and a different exhaust to chose from?
Re: Late Beta BMW E30 M3 if you're taking suggestions and know how to model, please look into modifying the m3 model into the regular 3 series e30. thanks.
Re: Late Beta BMW E30 M3 First, thanks! Also, I fixed some of the driftiness Third, The steels are only for experimental Fourth, I think the group a engine has plenty of power if that's what you mean And I don't have another mesh or idea for a second exhaust Thanks for posting - - - Updated - - - That would be a lot of work, since I'd have to remodel basically all body panels, but possible.
Re: Late Beta BMW E30 M3 afaik no - - - Updated - - - Alright! First release is out. Many features planned for v2.0
I'm pretty sure this gen of M3 had ABS. I remember reading somewhere about the custom system Bosch designed for it.
