Re: BMW E46 M3 GTR Road/Race car (UPDATE 3/31/14) Keep at it man your bound to get it sooner or later
Re: BMW E46 M3 GTR Road/Race car (UPDATE 3/31/14) Looks brilliant so far. Some very nice professional modelling here That little spelling error makes that post seem a little off
Re: BMW E46 M3 GTR Road/Race car (UPDATE 3/31/14) Hello everyone. I have to make a post about bad news (this will only be temporary). I have to put the project on hold for now. I cannot access my computer for an undetermined amount of time. I'm not sure long how I have to keep it this way but I will get back to work on the project as soon as I am able to. I very sorry for having to make this post.
Re: BMW E46 M3 GTR Road/Race car (UPDATE 3/31/14) Aww, that sucks... Hope you get access soon, I guess I'll just play NFS: Most wanted while I wait (2005)
Re: BMW E46 M3 GTR Road/Race car (UPDATE 3/31/14) Don't worry about it buddy, happens to most of us - me included, we'll be here when your able to pick it up again Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Re: BMW E46 M3 GTR Road/Race car (UPDATE 3/31/14) Hello everyone I've just gotten access to my computer back (It actually turned out to be a shorter wait than I expected). But... by some odd course of irony I managed to injure my wrist on my dominant hand. It should take about a month or so to heal properly. In the meantime, I'll try to work on what I can; but I'm going to keep the status on hold for now because I'll be working slowly with this injury.
Re: BMW E46 M3 GTR Road/Race car (UPDATE 3/31/14) Holy crap, thats quite a substantial spelling error. "Can't wait to see you" = "hoe" - - - Updated - - - Hope it heals soon enough! You've actually surprised me coming this far and it'd be a shame to see this mod disappear into history.
Re: BMW E46 M3 GTR Road/Race car (UPDATE 3/31/14) bump hows the wrist going? def one of the cars im most interested in seeing at least progress. looks amazing so far.
Re: BMW E46 M3 GTR Road/Race car (UPDATE 3/31/14) I hate this car. So I am glad it's going into BeamNG.
Re: BMW E46 M3 GTR Road/Race car (UPDATE 3/31/14) Man, this car's looking good! Don't stop. Give yourself time. Love the details. Don't pay attention to haters. BMWs rock! Thanks for posting this.
Re: BMW E46 M3 GTR Road/Race car (UPDATE 3/31/14) My wrist is almost done healing . Thanks for asking. Also, thanks for the bump. I'm going to make an update post when I finish the chassis. I wanted to post that I was working on the model again, but I just didn't want to make a post before I completed the chassis.
Re: BMW E46 M3 GTR Road/Race car (UPDATE 3/31/14) Looks GREAT so far dude looking forward to this awesome car!
Re: BMW E46 M3 GTR Road/Race car (UPDATE 3/31/14) *UPDATE* (6/19/14) Hello everyone . It's been a long time since the last time I've posted an update. I have finally completed the chassis of the car ! Now that I've finished the chassis of the car I can move on to other components of the car (ex. suspension, transmission, etc.). Soon afterward, I can create a second file and begin working on the defining details for the road and race versions of the car. I've had some trouble with figuring out how certain areas of the chassis of the car looks, from the images that I obtained. Also, being that I'm not an expert at 3D modeling, I have some areas of the model that don't correspond well with the polygons around them. If anyone can give me tips or point problem areas with the model, I would appreciate it . I took much more time to finish the chassis than I initially expected. Though I could have finished that part of the car much sooner than I have. I apologize for not working on the model as much as I could have. The parts of the car that I have left to model shouldn't take too much time for me to complete as well. Here are some images of what chassis looks like now : (Verts: 18686; Faces: 12784; Tris: 26018) Here is the wire-frame: That's all I have for now. Expect to see more soon . Note: I intentionally did not model, yet: the spare tire holder and (what I believe to be, but I'm unsure) the fuel tank, in the trunk.
Re: BMW E46 M3 GTR Road/Race car (UPDATE 3/31/14) It's ok man, you have a life and it's good that you do things outside of BeamNG
Re: BMW E46 M3 GTR Road/Race car (UPDATE 6/19/14) You actually work really fast! This is amazing. Really good work so far Do you understand J-Beam?
