on second thought, I feel like the engine from a NMAX would be the size of the damn thing already... something tells me a NMAX would also be more comfortable...

 

To everyone, the 56 Cc of the Peel already barely first , so dont think of anything bigger ( unless 2cylinders ?)

 

Or put a mattress on top, and have in fly like the jumper config in the Autobello Minilena mod.

 

I'm now wondering: who was the Peel made for? like if you only travel alone, wouldn't a motorbike be enough?

The BMW isetta ? It was made before the Vw Bug, it has a reverse gear and it's a bit Bigger . Not sure about the performances stats tho

 

realistically if I had to choose, I'd take the Isetta. even if the suspension wouldn't really be any more comfortable. it can still sit 2 people, so that's a plus (also I imagine easier to get in)

 

It has two rear Seats too .


Another advantage the Peel have over a bike is the whole fact that you Can place a (custom) roof rack for your lugages.

And on that point , i found something worse than the P50

It was supposed to be a sort of enclosed alternative to a scooter, hence the DKW scooter engine and drivetrain. It was strictly a cheap and basic form of transport that could just barely fit the criteria of a car

 

so basically a Ligier before Ligiers were a thing

 

Yeah sorta, it cost £198 when new due to being a plastic box with 3 wheels

Its cramped, and slightly difficult to get in. Plus, the engine is near your legs, so it gets hot, and only goes about 30-40 mph.

The whole fact that it's the same P50 Except that you have a glass bubble instead of a roof so it's (nearly) impossible to carry something with it
