It is also sponsored by the people who would rather spend 3500usd on a used 1976 Datsun 200SX with a fill service history, than to spend 2500usd on some fancy logs
Tax audit over a $2.50 mods? Lmao Give this man a break, he makes the mods and deserves to be paid for them.
And buyers deserve the security that comes with services payment option, like refunds for instance ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Want to make money for your work then do it but don't rob the platform that allows you to get paid.
starting to wonder if this guy has ever ridden a bike, after fucking around with a leak i got pmed by someone it seems like these dont evne simulate gyroscopic effect. considering i have ridden a few bikes including a wornout 70s suzuki i have somewhat of an idea what im talking about. if you just move forwards with the bike leaning a bit and dont steer at all it will just fall over, unlike IRL where it will just simply move till it levels out again, plus various other strange issues ingame. also the fact almost all his mods use free resources so thats sketchy(isnt this illegal?). then theres also the fact all his mods rattle and shake like the frames are made of duroplast. the frame straight up BENDS along with the oil cooler and everything when you steer, plus the forks dont even steer that smoothly and seem to snap into position at times. so yea not exactly "quality over quantity"
I agree that from the videos I have seen of his mods they seem very wobbly, and it could be partially due to a game physics limitation caused by the very light weight of the bikes, light objects don't work very well in this game and it's hard to make them stable, although I still do think that there is room for improvement with these mods, it feels like it's way too much wobbling and bending even for such low weight. About gyroscopic effect though, it is built in the game and there is no way to NOT simulate it. Although it is just 1 of many factors that contribute to a bike being stable, see here: https://www.bikeradar.com/features/your-bikes-secret-to-staying-upright-is-actually-a-mystery/. It's not the 1 sole thing you need for it to work properly.
2.50 with 1000 downloads is $2500, with this and all his other mods, its easily possible for him to make 5 figures off of this
Like in other instances, you're missing the point entirely. We just want to know we have security when paying for anything on the internet. At least we are not giving him our banking details and/or buying gift cards and sending them to him.
this is too far. you can't charge for a modland level quality mod. time doesn't always equal Money. people aren't gonna spend more because you spent time making something. they buy it if it's actually good
Imagine you order a big mac, you just get 2 buns, and Mcdonalds said they can't refund your payment option.
probably because the stability/gyroscope script is "permanently borrowed" from some very oldschool bike mods that he didn't make and has had to adapt to that thing lol yeah he didn't even make most of those bikes he charges for what a surprise i know
lmao I vaguely remember that old bike mod, very experimental and many years ago it was I always just assumed these bike mods were not related but someone will have to confirm that for me
Actually the original source of that script is some old mod for Rigs of Rods from what I remember and the author of it had stated that anyone can use it. Your point is still valid though, he didn't write it himself.
There is no need to go so back in time, there are PID functions made by the devs in the LUA game sources: \lua\common\controlSystems.lua Code: function newPIDStandard(kP, tI, tD, minOutput, maxOutput, integralInCoef, integralOutCoef, minIntegral, maxIntegral) I have partially used it in my latest SuperSport and I'm currently rewriting the core algo of steering to completely base on this. Believe me or not, the algorithm used by free bikes on modland is buggy, indeed try to drive those bikes and see if you can do the turns I made with mine in my videos. Mine use PID as well because there is nothing better, but I had to redesign it and tune for each bike, because different frame+forks have different behavior. So 3D models are available for free, PID function is in the LUA folder of the game ... should be a kid homework to make a bike for BeamNG no? @TMccanna instead of spending time putting up a KKK gang to burn me on the cross, why don't you make one and deliver it for free, that would be my end! T.
This. Free 3D model, free PID code, the only thing is tuning which is less than 10% of the work of paid mods, the majority of bike mod is free. TMccanna could you please dig into the files and provide any differences of the TonyCartony's bike controller code and the original bike controller code?
