Somebody said once fords break down every ten minutes (NOT ME, before that someone said it, I never even thought about it!), is this true? --- Post updated --- IF ONLY there was a car company that made modern cars that look like classic cars... maybe...
Easy, VW Beetle. It still has the spirit it had years ago, just modernized. Also, the Ford break-downs is supposed to be some kind of joke or it's myth. I'd been in a Explorer from 2000, and it never broke down.
if people take care of their vehicles (like changing the oil when it needs to be changed), Fords are some of the longest lasting vehicles on the road. yea they had their fair share of trashboxes like the Pinto and late 90s Taurus but overall, they are very good. GM products just seem to be way too cheap for their own good and FCA offers very little outside the usual (Challenger, Charger, 200, 300, Wrangler, G Cherokee, fiat 500)
By classic commuter cars I didn't mean LITERAL classic cars, but rather conventional sedans and wagons. There are hardly any left (and wagons are completely gone), since they were replaced by crossovers and EUDM-like cars.
Wagons aren't completely gone, but in America, they ARE long dead. Europe is still going high in wagons, such as the Volvo V90 and the Mondeo Vignale.
Yeah and then it clogs with carbon because it's being underrevved and dies a horrible, choked death. If anything go for a spirited drive every once in a while to get rid of the carbon buildup.
Yeah... I was referring how some people unessicarily rev to show off... so I guess only rev when you need to!
Except that the Triton motors have a habit of refusing to work. --- Post updated --- Not a reason. The Hummer was actually a decent niche car - it had HD suspension in a package smaller than the Silverado.
