Seriously. I stay off this part of the forum for several months and when I come back, people are STILL comparing the in-development cars to real-life ones? Come on guys... it looks like a BRUCKELL LEGRAN, end of story.

Jeez! If they want to, let 'em. If it's bothering you that's your problem. We know it's a Bruckell LeGran, but people are comparing real life cars to each other, too. Get over it.

I hope gabe is gonna make something like a grand National. Something that has this styling and is from the same era, but with a suped up engine from the factory. That would be cool

Although the Grand National had a 3800 Turbo V6, hardly a Big, Powerful motor (it had 276 hp, same as a current Honda Accord V6 or Altima...or even a 2.0T Optima/Sonata). But I agree. Even this car could have a 3800 Supercharged option, as in the Buick Regal GS, etc.

That's what they were rated at. Who knows what they actually made. 360 ft-lbs of torque and 0-60 of 4.3 seconds say otherwise. That's with a 4-speed auto.

A tall first gear can reach 60, meaning there's about a half - second less time it takes to reach 60...and here is a (no -official 0-60 list: http://www.zeroto60times.com/Buick-0-60-mph-Times.html )

It is a quick car, no doubt, but a current V6 can walk this car in a quarter mile after 60 mph.

Yeah, I saw a Grand National the other day at the fly in. Very tiny engine and turbo compared to other cars there. (There were a couple foreign cars with giant turbos, but it was mostly American classics with giant V8s. Also a lot of old British cars with small 4 cylinders.)

if it's accurate to the real-life cars that this thing is "inspired by", it'll crumple like an empty beer can at anything over 30 miles an hour.

    Can't wait.

Absolutely. Perhaps after the SBR arrives we can get back to a good ole' 4 door wrecker that exists for nothing but wrecking. A nice, ugly and
miserable sedan to get the Bill Clinton years out of our blood. It would also look lovely in scrapyard shots and doesn't eat rice.;)
