Since this is most likely a K platformed car, it would make for a great Zamboni mod/variant.

I love the boxy look, better than 90's cars that also all look the same but more bland and kind of blobby, newer cars are the same way but now try to look faster than they are.

This is the best DYI show on earth.

90s cars knew their place, and didn't try to exagerate their own capabilities through their aesthetic. It seems all new cars are making angry faces and holding up a ruler to their dicks with the inch marks a little too close to each other and saying "Look at me, I'm fast", all while having 100hp and weighing 4 tons, 2 of which are taken up by airbags and electronic nannies.
The ND miata I would say is what every new car should be. It complies with regulations without sacrificing weight (it weighs almost the same as the NA Miata) and maintains the driving pleasure that the MX-5 brand is known for, without making an angry "I'm a sports car mommy!" face.

Went offtopic a bit there but I tend to ramble, oh well.

We had a lot of brilliant 1990s cars. Any BMW from the 1990s will exceed the quality of a horribly outdated K body front wheel drive car. The original MX-5 was released in 1989 and was made throughout the 1990s and it is a brilliant car. Such cars similar to a LeGran, when you push the accelerator pedal, it just... Moves, whereas a BMW E30 Three Series or any Honda worth its money will give you a good time when you are behind the wheel of these and similar cars.

Let's get back on topic. The LeGran will be a fun car to drive and crash, no matter what kind of car it is. BeamNG is a game that embraces all cultures of the car.

[/QUOTE] That adds the the appeal, cars like this aren't meant to be fast, they are meant to be cheap and comfortable, so that could be seen as a good thing in many ways.

Meanwhile, these cars were cheap to buy and had practically buoyant suspension, yet you had to make do with weirdly gutless engines and fragile gearboxes. At the same time, you could buy a small foreign car that could meet all the demands of the typical car owner and had plenty of power from a smaller engine and excellent gas mileage. The diesel powered Volkswagen Rabbit and the Golf sold well because on the motorways, fuel mileage could reach 50 MPG and during the oil embargo, fuel was precious.

Don't forget some cars europe had were almost as big (and twice as comfy) as their american counteparts at the time, and could still get 40+ MPG, sometimes 50 (with a diesel engine of course)

Yeah, I'd prefer a car that accelerates faster than I age.

When you start up the car it takes 30 seconds for the suspension to lift up before you can even begin driving. Cars like the BX are not for impatient people.
Still, the turbo diesel engine has 90hp and the car weighs about 1100kg, which isn't very slow at all for daily driving, plus you got that low end torque to keep you happy when puttering around town.

Jay leno actually explained why citroens didn't get popular in the USA very well.
Due to the different construction of these cars compared to american luxury sedans of the time, most people couldn't work on them if something went wrong, and the average mechanic couldn't do anything either, so you had to go to a citroen dealership to get it fixed, which most people didn't do. When the cars eventually failed due to poor maintenance, americans decided they were unreliable and didn't want them anymore.
Also the fact that citroens were already pretty niche cars in the USA, most american luxury buyers were more than satisfied with cars built on truck chassis and velour interiors.

yeah my brother is a mechanic here in the UK and he tried to refurbish a Citroen but it didn't go to well and he ended up scraping it because it was such a mechanical mess, for instance the electronics were mostly located at the top of the bonnet, where water can get in, and it did

Had Citroen increased their involvement in North America and had their customers had a different attitude towards Citroen. North America could have seen the best of Citroen.

No worries, americans can already import the Citroen XM as it's over 25 years old. They're dirt cheap aswell even the V6 models.

Developing cars never get cancelled, as far as I know. Gabester just has a 3D model waiting to be put in game.

Its probably in the game as we speak but probably isn't in a good state where it could be shown to the community.
