Hey I see the status was updated to "released" but I don't see the link to the mod/download anywhere?
Why do people think people will to pay astronomical amounts for mods, no sane individual will pay £21.50 for one mod, specially when there are no jbeam pics or some kind of demo. Whats stopping people thinking this is just an edited SBR4 or Scintilla? Not to mention this is yet another paid real life car. You could buy the gavril scout, cherrier picnic, ibishu signia, gavril dynamo and the hirochi rush and still have money left over for the same price.
Well, firstly, there are two other artists who have created Tourbillon & they are both charging 70-100$ for the mesh only & they've got more than 1 million tris without any interior... My friend here has created the model month before anyone else & he's done it with less than 300k tris (interior included). We only get to upload it now & Aside from that, as I've already mentioned in a post, He is charging only for the model! There is a picture of the JBeam, & there'll be videos of it on youtube & there'll be people who will buy & enjoy the mod. I don't think there are people capable of creating such a complex mesh as their 3rd piece of work & that certainly has a value. I saw replies like yours irrelevant & this post is only a show-case. You can simply choose to not pay for anything I would not answer replies like this no more. --- Post updated --- Well thank you for the kind words.
Glad that it looks fine to you We've got some good plans for it. It's going to be more than just a regular Tourbillon ...
Why tf would you expect anyone to pay $25/285 Swedish kronor for something with a Jbeam that is just a scintilla it is also illegal cause it is a real-life car that is paid, Before you say that I hate paid mods I have bought almost all off LucasBE's mods and I have also bought the segra
I've already explained that in another thread. Short Answer: There'll be a free variant surely once BeamNG devs come-up with a propriety 3D format solution (or anything similar to protect intellectual properties ...) But & that's a big but, I'm uncertain whether it's on their roadmap; if it isn't, it may either take a long time to materialize or not happen at all.
It looks nice but are you charging that much for only one config? I'd also recommend posting more pictures behind the scenes (Jbeam, mesh, or even a video demo on how it drives) Sure the pictures are nice but is that all you're going to show us? This does not look promising at all
is the picture of the jbeam in the room with us? from a standpoint of cost i can understand where money adds up for 3d modelling, but it's absurd to pass that along to the customer at such a high margin. i can say for a fact that making it so expensive absolutely will not keep it from being leaked or having the mesh stolen, in fact you're likely going to deal with it more than others by raising the barrier to entry so high. not to mention there are significant inaccuracies in the model itself. i'm not trying to bash this, but if you really intend on getting the price that is posted, i would urge your modeler to spend more time fixing the inaccuracies and potentially find a market in something like the 3d rendering community, as you can probably tell by the reception here, beamng players are very unlikely to spend more than a cup of coffee's worth of money on something.
this might come as a shocker, but reputable paid modders like LJ74 and lucasbe spent upwards of 5-7 months making one of the best handcrafted mods, then sell it for 3-5€, you selling this for 25€ while not having any demo, not showing any jbeam pics, sound, the thing being an unlicenced brand ... its kinda insane. i understand you gotta pay artists, but charging this much for such little content is just not right man --- Post updated --- that will never happen, encryption is against the core values of the devteam because the content in the game is supposed to be moddable so its very unlikely that it will be implemented, and i think it has been stated that it wouldnt get implemented --- Post updated --- Also some of my friends on a dc chat pointed out that its pretty inacurate and well i mean just look for yourself not to hate on whoever modeled this, since i understand most of it is eyeballed cuz good luck getting good references, but this is not something worth the 25€ price tag
