    • What did you like? The fun and solid interface and explanation at the start of every challenge, like the ''destroy this.... and this...'' part, made me laugh a bit and the overall idea of a campaign and locked objectives is just so damn amazing. - ANDD in the drag race your opponent's muscle car catches fire which i think was just so amazing to see.
    • What was meh? No music :p but to be serious i don't really have a meh for this
    • What could we do better? - MAKE MORE OF THESE AMAZING CAMPAIGNS, oh and sometimes the camera angles were just bad, i like a cinematic feel but with the hill climb pickup it made me crash, so maybe just adjust the angle
    • What was a problem or blocking? - not for me
    • What feature would you like to see in the future? - more campaigns with alot of themes, more crash objectives and also a big variety of difficulty in campaigns
    • How can we polish the experience a bit more? - Speedometer, would be nice if it was a bit smoother, add a little background music as long as it isnt repetetive, add an actual world leaderboard for campaigns medals times etc.. especially for when there will be loads more campaigns
Thanks for the campaigns guys it was actually a reason why i bought the game so i can't wait for more

I wish in drivers training the instructor had a variety of phrases to say, not just the same thing over and over agin.

    • What did you like? I really liked the senseless destruction campaign. Whats better than breaking stuff. breaking stuff with cinematic views :) Really great. Original stuff. Nice camerawork ( rock crawl was a bit annoying at a couple of points with camerawork but for the rest awesome)
    • What was meh? Well. The one with the burnside and the cop car and the one with the cannon were pretty easy and didnt require much skill.
    • What could we do better? Look if the cinematic views arent too annoying. Theyre great but at the rock crawl mission you cant see the rocks to climb on and you just have to guess where to go
    • What was a problem or blocking? My laptop . Well because my laptop has so much lag i couldnt play the driving school mission because my car accelerates very very slowly and i run out of time and i know thats gonna happen at the other missions to.
    • What feature would you like to see in the future? Non laggy ETK map. So i can play the driving school. And more random destruction. Everyone likes random destruction.
    • How can we polish the experience a bit more? Non laggy maps would work.

Optimisation for lower-end computers for both campaigns would be great.

Was a great preview, but I think that the differences between campaigns and scenarios should be more pronounced, they sort of felt like longer scenarios.

Hey Guys I've never been much of a contributor here, but I feel like this open discussion is a great idea!!
I'm a off road guy and use beam ng for rock crawling nearly 100% of the time. that being said I loved the driving school campaign. I thinks its in the right direction and will only get better and better as more updates come out.
    • I liked that the driving school eased people into driving in beam ng because its very different from most games like need for speed. (its a simulator after all!)
    • the cartoonish nature of instructor imho was kind of mismatched with the simulator nature of beamng. but with that being said most of us do just crash car together lol.
    • I think the scoring needed to be improved as others here have mentioned.
    • for me personally i would LOVE to see a technical off road challenge. I use the D15 with solid axles front and rear, the 5.5L motor and custom dialed shock settings. And I can climb out of the Utah map on to the flat planes with relative ease. so something like a trail ride adventure could be fun. madram11 on YouTube has excellent videos of that kind of stuff and rock bouncing things if your interested.
    • and for polishing things off I think Terran traction and tire traction need to be more predictable. but other than that you guys are killing it! keep it up!

I absolutely love the campaign. The only problem I have is my toaster computer. When the fps is below 20,i can't complete a scenario because my car is going to slow for the timer.

I really liked the senseless destruction campaign, but I felt like it needs something more. Going to the next level doing one thing (for example, driving forward and seeing what happens) is just not enough in my opinion. Yes, sometimes you needed to aim your car to land on another or aim a cannon etc... and that's good, but still, it's very simple. Hopefully I don't sound ungrateful, because I am not trying to. I liked the campaign overall. But I have some problems and suggestions on how to fix them.

Could the levels last a bit longer? The whole campaign is like 20 minutes long. To make it last longer, like an hour or two, the scenarios could use more mechanics like dodging obstacles and objects. It would feel satisfying to fail too, because when you hit an obstacle -> destruction. When a car is an obstacle -> even more destruction. The jumping over the trailer scenario is a good example. When I purposely hit the rocks next to the trailer, I enjoyed the crash and the aftermath. It was violent and cool-looking.

Next I want to talk about the camera and slow motion. I like more that the game speed is in most of the crashes set to 1x. I only put slow motion on when I actually want to see how the car crumbles in a violent crash. Landing on the ground from 1 meter is not worthy of slow motion in my opinion. So I would like to be able to set slow motion myself with ALT + arrow keys. (Yes, I know that you can kind of do that, but the game sets the slow motion back when camera switches.) Talking about camera, I did not like the camera in some situations. For example, the rock crawling scenario. I tried to switch the camera to the default orbit camera because I did not like the stationary camera nearly as much. So I'd like to see adjustable camera too. The introduction to the next scenario with the white text and camera is cool and there is nothing wrong with that. Just pointing out.

The game could use a banger racing campaign with maybe adjustable opponent amount. The campaign gets harder the more races you win. Race won -> next, more difficult race. The medal is gold, silver or bronze depending on how you place in the race. The wood X "medal" could be used when you place last or below 3rd. I know this has been suggested earlier in this thread, but I would like to see this too.

I liked the driver training too and it did not have the problems above. It was well crafted and greatly executed. I liked the drift part in the end too.

    Good job overall :)

it was like a whole new game!
i would like to see maybe races or custom shops inside of campaign to customize your car for some of the levels? :D

That's not really feedback specific to the campaigns, plus cars don't blow up at redline unless they're producing more power than the components to handle or the engine's overheating/ceasing. There's plenty of videos out there of cars bouncing off the rev limiter for twenty minutes before ceasing up - not even blowing up.

thats not realistic at all. If you redline it for 5 mins then it will blow in real life and in beamng.

I like the idea and the way it works, but I'd like to have just one big campaign almost like in Need For Speed or such games just in BeamNG style. But overall its a step in the right direction and I like it

    • What did you like? The direction Beamng is going, becoming a full racing game, not just a crash simulator. The campaigns are a step in the right direction for Beamng's future.
    • What was meh? - Too many awful camera angles like the D35 Pig crawling challenge as well as the T-series downhill crash challenge. Just use orbit mode please.
    • What could we do better? - As above and below.
    • What was a problem or blocking? - Make the scores more sensible, for example, the ramming of the Moonhawk with the Van is almost impossible to get a gold, no matter how hard you try.
    • What feature would you like to see in the future? - Longer campaigns like 1 hour long (you would need to add save games for this) and allowing us to start from a specific level after completion of the campaign once.
    • How can we polish the experience a bit more? - As above.

    • What did you like?
      • I really liked the puzzling part of the campaign, figuring out what was the best way to pass a challenge. The simplicity did it as well, straight forward and to the point (though there were some issues). I also really liked the speed/pacing of this campaign, with much diversity, I am easily bored, but being able to just quickly launch this game, play a relatively small campaign is just awesome!
    • What was meh?
      • I do understand that since this is the first part of the campaign, that the difficulty level of the challenges were made rather low. And I suppose that the following campaign parts will be made more difficult as we go along. Another thing that could be called "meh" is that with a few scenario's the lack of information (or simplicity of the information presented) was a bit to... lacking, making some of us wonder what the actual goals were. After playing it a few times, it did became clear.
    • What could we do better?
      • Keep the way you present information, but make it a bit more obvious what the end goal are, and I do have to say that some parts were really clear, but the downhill with the truck part wasn't at all, for example. Or the crawling part, most people will take the lane that is most visible by the camera, and we weren't informed that the camera changes into another perspective when choosing the other lane.
    • What was a problem or blocking?
      • Kinda curious about what you mean with "blocking", but everything ran stable, no issues at all.
    • What feature would you like to see in the future?
      • I suppose that this is in the making already, but.... leader-boards :D, adding a bit more to the challenge.
    • How can we polish the experience a bit more?
      • Already mentioned by someone before me, but we really do need some background soundtrack, Gabester... please compose a few if those simplistic but awesome music tracks for this game, like you did/do for the official beamng video's :D. Would fit the mood and direction of this campaign/game perfectly, in my opinion.
Just one personal question, totally not relevant to this topic, but since I am typing this here, still going to ask:

Is there any progress with GPU (Opencl or something simular) accelerated physics calculations? Is it doable? Can we expect something? Probably asked many times, but once more... I will ask them.
