I need to temporary (I will need it only for creation process) change BaseTexSize to 8192, but maximum size is 4096. Is there any other way to increase it?
No way to increase it beyond 4096 in the editor. You'll have to import a 8192 heightmap made from terrain creation software like World Machine/L3DT, or downloaded from terrain.party. Keep in mind the editor will likely freeze up for a while while importing this, and it might crash the game. Also, currently heightmap exporting is broken in the editor, so until it's fixed you won't be able to export your current heightmap and change the resolution in the terrain software.
I already have 8192 heightmap and 4096 satellite image on it. It would be great to have 8192 satellite image on this heightmap, because there is more details on it. "No way to increase it beyond 4096 in the editor." And is this possible to change something in game files to increase it? Or any "non editor" way to do it?
Why does it say 4096 in the editor if you say its a 8192 heightmap? Did you import it and it just says its 4096 or..? And as for the satellite image resolution, I recommend taking a look at this wiki article. It explains it in detail
4096 is terrain texture resolution only. I think that there is no information about heightmap size on my screenshot. I generally know how to create maps for BeamNG. I created this map: https://www.beamng.com/resources/american-road.3100/ But now I want to try to create map based on satellite picture. Only thing i need is to temporary increase BaseTexSize to 8192, but it seems that 4096 is max. Unfortunately there is no information about "BaseTexSize" in this wiki article.
No, you cannot go past 4096. Also use 8192 heightmaps carefully, they are not 100% supported/meant to be used, and can use big portion of memory.
