    except I linked you directly rather than going via the BeamNG link, did you try that? Did you actually run the installer because your previous explanation makes it sound like you didnt?

    tried several times and same error - doesnt seem to see Directx

    Hmm, if you've got DX9 installed check what the latest version of DirectX is that you've got installed as well?

    I have directx working now, Thanks! Now I cant get past a message related to the mods folder. Speaking of installers why does Beam not have one? The zip is simply dropped wherever one downloads it then on clicks on the Beam app to install/run correct?

    What? BeamNG is installed from steam...

    And never run any application directly from a zip. Extract the entire zip to a folder first.

    I installed it from the link on the Beam home page from "Humble Bundle"...got the tech demo working but getting the error "failed to create game mods path" when I try to launch the downloaded full game:-( Thanks, I understand compressed files:)
