Maybe try a moderately sized glass halfpipe, that would be a cool spot to bash around in an Autobello
I created a poll. Which features would you like to see in the "Car Jump Arena" sequel? First two places win. https://www.youtube.com/@mysteryman4501/community
Jump across the whole map? The map is 2048x2048. This would be very unrealistic. This is not a map designed for planes...
This is the current status of the survey. Please vote here......https://www.youtube.com/@mysteryman4501/community
Man, I remember many years ago when I first got BeamNG, exploring the old car jump arena as well as sending cars off the ramp. Super excited to see it coming back. One question I have is how performance intensive is this map? With how much detail there is in the map I'd assume there would be some concern there?
If your PC can run the default maps, you will be fine. I am using a lot of LOD meshes and collision meshes in my models. With 4K resolution I have constant 60 FPS. With nightlights it will drop to 50 FPS at some places. My system specs you can see here: https://www.beamng.com/members/mysterymanger.159613/
Maybe you could add a ramp where cars land on sand with rocks? Like here: It causes a lot of destruction on landing and it's very fun to watch
Landing on rocks would be certain death for the driver. I make a map that is unrealistic but realistic. That means... It is very unlikely that the "Car Jump Arena" will actually exist, but the participants should have a chance to survive. So no...I won't create something like that...sorry! "CJA" is family friendly. Feel free to create a "Mods of Mods" after release.
Thank you for participating. This is the final result: So the "Freestyle Stadium" and the "Rollover Contest" will celebrate their comeback. More info coming soon...at the moment I'm creating the beach and surroundings.
Aw, shucks. [kicks dirt] I really quite like that glass sphere. Shame it's the least popular. Does not, in any way, diminish my eager anticipation for your remaster/reimagining of this map.
This result does not mean that there will be no glass sphere. The result means that these two points are preferred. As long as I have enough space on the map after I finished this, there will be more to come...
