What about these specs. Intel I7 6500U 2.6Ghz with Intel Graphics 520 integrated graphics and 4GB DDR3 ram. It runs asset heavy maps terribly. I'd be happy to test if you would like me to..
Finally...this is the layout for the freestyle-area! A few optical changes will be made the next days...but I am very happy with the layout!
The FPS will be fine. I am using "occlusion volumes"...that means that the whole map of "Car Jump Arena" isn't visible when you enter the stadium. You'll also have a spawnpoint there
I would like to know if the easter eggs in the map has been already discovered. I don't mean the campfire inside the cave...and I think also the little alien inside the tunnel should be well known. Anyone found the 20 "hidden packages" ? Please PM me...don't mention them publically. Thanks!
I think this is the final version of the freestyle-area (...at least for BETA 4!). What do you think? Ready for release? ...or do you miss anything? comments/opinions/suggestions/improvements are welcome!
Looks great! What about the second arena? You talked about an second arena before didn't you? Can you give some info on what that arena is gonna be like?
The second arena will be part of BETA5. I will remove it for the next release. I am planning some more arenas in the future...this could be for example an icy/snowy drift track...or an offroad track. Maybe a figure-8 and/or some kind of demolition derby. Don't really know yet. But the future of CJA will go to arenas inside the mountains, because there is no more space left on the main map for some more activities. I also think that the map will reach the final version the next few months, because I am reaching the maximum objects that I can put into one map. And I also won't put more stuff on it regarding the FPS. ...but I have some plans for my next map. I will not talk much about it at the moment, but it will be another fun map with a lot of custom objects and many things to explore and discover. So stay tuned
I tried different cars to see which could jump the farthest. I found you can jump over 400 meters with an unmodified bolide and it'll manage to survive most of the time. Is this the longest survivable jump? Gfycat Video - Click to Play - Direct Link
I would say YES! Beyond 400 meters the angle is getting more difficult to land your vehicle properly. The design is based on a real ski-jump-ramp.
It seems that I am too late then, but I just thought about signs and arrows to know where you are going
