My brother told me about an old Dually behind the town hall. I didn't believe him, so I went to look myself. Sure enough, there was a bashed-up 1989 V8 D35 4WD. I rented a truck to take it home on. I only lived a few miles away. It didn't cost much to fix, since D-Series supplies are plentiful. Before I knew it, the project was done! I found a roll bar and some new bumpers on BeamBay for $80 and sprayed it blue.
I was walking in the woods one day, and happened to see a Gavril D-Series Extended Cab in the woods. The truck was very rough. The interior was moldy and full of dirt. Plenty of Rust was present on the body. I took it home and began working on the interior. The more I worked, the more problems I found. I ended up buying a new Big Block for it.(Old engine was frozen) After 2 years of resto, it was finished. I added racing wheels and a few more power enhancers to give it a kick. I don't have any room in my garage for it, so I am selling it. I am asking 3,000 OBO.
Well I decided to talk around the abandoned section of Hirochi Raceway, about 10 minutes in something caught my eye. It was a 1977 Bruckell Moonhawk, looked like it was raced back in the day and left here to rot. The owner of Hirochi Raceway sold it to me for $2000. I took it back to my shop and stripped it down. Needless to say the underside of the car was beyond repair, So I bought a new frame, front and rear suspension was overhauled with modern race parts. and put some Alder Kingsnake rims on it. My plan was to make it a track car just like it was in the 70s, but using modern parts. I went with a twin turbo V10 engine. I have gotten some hate from doing so but I wanted to be different. I then fabricated some fender flares and welded them to the restored body and front fenders. I then stripped the interior and added a roll cage. The car itself was complete, all it needed was paint. I went with pure black, a factory color for this car. I then changed the headlight bulbs to red to make it look meaner. This car is a monster on the track just as planned, I can pass Lamborghinis like they're standing still.
