While Initial D is the reason why I started liking the car, I appreciate it for what it is. I think it looks like one of those 80's hatchbacks that'd be fun to own IRL. I also think it's beautiful, and those popup headlights makes it look even better IMO.
I hate ALL modified cars (well except bone-stock looking sleepers) because I don't see the point imo cars should be left stock.
Nissan Sunny GTI, VW Golf GTI, Ford Escort RS aren't less fun to own and cost about three times less than that tofu hauler.
I think I almost had a seizure looking at that race-kit-equipped Chiron. I'm already a not-so-big fan of the Chiron (like it for some things, but just too heavy for me), but that race kit....ugh. That would fit an Aztek better, IMO.
As a car enthusiast, there's no car that I truly hate. I like some more than others, some aren't appealing at all to me, but I never found myself to think something along the line of "Dang, if only those could disappear of the road !". I don't find modern BMWs that attractive. I do like some of the modern Audis, but I dislike the Q7. I also don't like modern supercars that much.
You just got it there. My taste of cars is that the more basic the design was, the better. Beside, i'm into minimalism.
AE86 - Terrible value proposition both then (Camaro money for nowhere near Camaro speed) and now (Scene tax out the wazoo). And of course the US had to get the popup headlight version, which everyone will think is a good thing even though the fixed-light version is better-looking, lighter, more aerodynamic with the lights on, and less of a pain to own, especially in places where it isn't always warm. R32 and up Skyline - Overrated and scene-taxed way beyond what they'd be worth on performance alone. R35 GT-R - Overweight, overhyped, not particularly good-looking, and now stars in a bunch of "Can't Touch This" compilations in which the titular song plays while a power-tuned GT-R beats a Corvette or Supra or something. Yeah you won in a straight line, and your car is still an ugly nerdmobile, and besides there's nothing even impressive about outrunning (insert other common highway bomber here) since it's already known to have good power potential. This makes me physically angry to think about. It is, however, immensely satisfying when the Corvette wins and the natural order of things is restored. E39 BMW 5-series - Everyone loves this car, but this was probably the first time throttle-by-wire showed up in a somewhat-mainstream production car. Now it's practically universal in new cars. Some people will point out that electronic throttle can actually respond faster than cable throttle. I'm not sure how that can be possible, but that's also not the point. I doubt the vast majority of muggle mobiles are going to have the throttle programmed for the fastest, most direct possible response. With cable throttle, meanwhile, the engine was chained to your foot and had no choice but to do what you told it to, when you told it to. I want that back! This may have been a good car in a lot of ways, but it was also Pandora's box is this regard. Honda Civic - Favored sport compact of the Internet Car Intelligentsia, but I just can't like it. Citroen 2CV - One of the awfulest little cars that has ever existed. Also a good litmus test for detecting car hipsters and Internet Car Intelligentsia types.
Oh gosh... here comes the pitchforks... OK! I'll admit it I dislike: Classic Cars (40's is ok), Formula One Cars, Supercars (Except 15' Nissan GTR), and Hypercars. Ouch! Who threw that tomato? Yes I dislike many cars that many people love, I guess I'm a bland person! (PS: I love the Ford Pinto!)
I hate this the bmw f10 5 series it looks bloated hasnt the best interior falls apart after 50k km (at least the ones i came across) and its as heavy as a charger wich is faster for less money
BMW's design has really been going straight down the shitter since the early-mid 2000s. The E90 may have been the last genuinely good looking and distinctive BMW ever made. Also, literally every single interior across their range looks the same. I'm not joking.
This is actually a very common thing to happen in modern cars to save money on development, and to develop a strong brand identity. Anyway, more cars that I dislike: Dodge Challenger/Charger Hellcat: These things are fast and stylish, and their blower whine is AWESOME, but they just weigh far too much for me to consider them as daily drivers. 4,200-4,500 pounds for these things is a lot of poundage, and I prefer lighter vehicles that handle better (like the Miata). Any lifted hatchback/wagon currently made by Lexus: These "SUVs" are already ugly enough, and combine that with Lexus's styling language, and you get something like this NX. It may be semi-off-road capable, but good lord, that looks awful. Mercedes CLA: A cramped rear seat and melted-looking rear are just the beginning for my disliking of this car. To me, it's merely a way for plebs to brag that they have a three-pointed star in their garage (regardless of whether or not that three-pointed star is mounted to a car worthy of its badge).
