Spoiler: Sorry JDMguy There's "saying anything that goes even a little bit against the current zeitgeist," and then there's complaining endlessly, like a broken record playing in several different threads, about people who like something that you don't and getting on everyone's (and that includes people who would otherwise agree with you) nerves. They didn't, you walnut. That's what he was trying to say. Racing enthusiasts obviously won't care about self-driving cars (unless they like more than one thing, which is completely unrealistic). A car enthusiast might. Remember in first grade, when the teacher taught you that every square is a rectangle but not every rectangle is a square? Every racing enthusiast is a car enthusiast by definition, but not every car enthusiast is a racing enthusiast. Some car enthusiasts are into self-driving cars. Some car enthusiasts are only into self-driving cars. You are a car enthusiast who, as far as I can tell, is into racing, customization, and 90s cars. To summarize: A racing enthusiast and a self-driving car enthusiast, while not the same, are both car enthusiasts. No one called you a fascist, stop trying to bring politics into everything. Friendly reminder that this is the guy who complains about people calling him a gatekeeper. Right, because if something happens and you don't like it, obviously the government (excuse me, "the system") is behind it. Definitely not consumer demand or people liking things that you don't. fearmonger (noun) fear·mon·ger | \ ˈfir-ˌməŋ-gər 1. one inclined to raise or excite alarms especially needlessly It's not fascism to think safety matters over appearance. Form over function is one thing, but design over function is just plain stupid. Go easy on him. Did you not see him say that he had autism? For a guy who doesn't care about bicycles or electric cars, you sure do complain about them a lot. People are allowed to have opinions. An opinion shared by a majority, particularly one so insignificant as the quality of a 25-year-old economy car, does not stop you from having an opposing opinion. Once again I remind you that the world does not revolve around you, and yelling your opinions into echo chambers won't change that.
Meh, there are some vehicles out there that have absolutely zero redeeming qualities at all. CVT equipped Nissan's are a great example of this. Build quality? Poor. Driving dynamics? Awful. Pricing? Silly. Is a car? Depends on the day of the week. Partially French? You bet your ass it is!
man it's too early for this bullshit have a car I like: Cheap to make, RWD, cool looking, good gas mileage for a massive straight six, good handling if you know how to drive it, it's a Hornet with the trunk cut off, the AMC Gremlin! The first hot hatch (Sorry Golf, but no) came with RWD standard and a V-8 as an option (Not exactly a very powerful V-8, but the point is there.) It's a good bit heavier than a golf, and thus handles significantly worse, coming in at around 2,500 pounds, and it's three-speed gearbox is clunky beyond belief, but it's the first hot-hatch by the denotation of the term, and that's a fact that not many can argue with. AMC Gremlin. Rear seats tighter than Nixon's fiscal policy.
I literally said I was too tired to argue about shit and you go and get all passive aggressive. Thanks B. Needed that.
Speaking of AMCs.... the Eagle (not the brand btw). It may not be hated, but it's usually mostly ignored asides from the point that some people consider it to be the first crossover. But I genuinely like the craftsmanship behind this whole set of models, using the Cherokee as the basis for the car and the rest left for AMC. The result is something I have to admit is pretty revolutionary, and actually doesn't do too bad of a job as a car, even if has that lifted look to it that might put some people off. I generally find it underrated and underappreciated, similar with the Pacer and Gremlin. I'd like to know if I'm not the only one here who likes the Eagle...
I like to think of it as a pre-Outback Outback, due to the Forester not having the traditional wagon shape shared by the Eagle and Outback.
XV20 toyota camry/holden apollo wagons. I don't know why I like them, I know I shouldn't like them. but I do. pls halp
