yes, this is in fact a stone texture of small stones that's missing. I'm currently updating the files, but for now you can try to copy those textures from the original Johnson_Valley map into the Zip as described by Murokmakto two replies above . That's basically what I did as well, but I can't upload the update myself since it's too big and the BeamNG people have to do it for me.
I found that for some reason the vulkan version is very laggy for me too, but the directX version has 70fps on my Vega56. Maybe switch APIs to test?
Great to hear that people like it despite the texture problems. It's my first released map, so there are some things to learn, from this I guess.
For the interested, I uploaded an updated file here if you want to test it out: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1QyYNn9787oHU5WweZIUBlPQ3PZ3K40od/view?usp=sharing Also report any problems here, that would be greatly appreciated.
These road lines look weird being that thick in the area between the busstop and the gas station, I suggest making them a bit thinner something like this would look better, and overall i suggest adding road lines to some more roads, especially around the town area, as it looks off without them i made an example myself in the editor how it would look like but other than that, i really like this map
Greetings people. Even though I still got no response concerning the updating process of my resource, I keep working on it. The missing textures are fixed as well as the too large road markings as suggested by Kurpsai Hydropower plant alifjeem31. I went ahead and added more details and a whole new mountainous area with a couple of new roads and paths New roads: The large road now goes past the quarry and later enters into a tunnel. The idea and textures are from the Kurpsai Hydropower plant on the M41 in Kirgisistan. Gorge Tunnel Path to testside I'll post a link to the Gdrive when I'm done for those interested --- Post updated --- Also added another mountain path. Features are steep inclines and a picturesque mountain river. Generally all mountains got overhauled too, to not look so boring and smooth. Entrance Path
Hi made a reply almost two months ago about how it was laggy, revisited map and that issue is gone and it is an amazing map keep it up!
Greetings people. The creative muse has cought me again and I made another some changes and details to the map. Also another road to explore that would fit rallying pretty good. Have fun! Download here
Respect! One of the most beautiful maps out there! But why does the repo update not work? Usually you can update it yourself --> Click "Add resource update" (add new description, upload latest version) and then it will be approved within a few days at longest. Am I wrong or did earlier versions have already AI roads on it? If you want I can make this for you.
Hey, since the mod is over 500mb size I get an error when trying to upload it myself. One of the mods has to do it then. Please feel free to add AI roads as I havent got around to looking at how they work .
So I guess you want to have right hand drive traffic, and when the road is wider than 5 m maybe two lanes traffic in one direction? There´s also the possiblity to have lesser drivable roads (like the mountain- or offroad sections). I will try to figure out how to save them as prefabs so I don´t have to save the whole map and we have two different maps then. Should work if they are part of a fictional time-trial, then you can load them and save them to the your map.
Yeah that sounds amazing! I imagine the mountainroads are a bit hard on the AI no? --- Post updated --- Really cool pictures! Did you try the mountain pass with that train?
Yep, couldn't even get up to that first right turn on the north side. Got the trailer legs stuck on the bump when I tried 2 trailers, but I'm determined to get at least 1 load up there when I get the time!
Did the first kilometers of AI roads today (east checkpoint to town). It´s going to take a longer time for sure, so don´t expect anything soon. I start with the tarmac roads, but I also want to include the little paths so that they show up on the navigation map.
