    1982 Sasto Wagon
Costs $2400, seats 5 and the rear bench collapses for more cargo space, basic 8 track radio, roof rack, 60hp 1.3L Inline 4 with a 3 speed manual with overdrive (4 speed), with front MacPherson strut and rear coil, rear-wheel drive.

Basically a Chevette if it was an import wagon lol

Quicksilver Apex, an 80's econobox with rather fancy accommodations, at a low price. Quicksilver is also American :p

This is the rear-engined Gavril Rapido LT 1.1. Designed for the developing world, it is cheap and easy to produce. The 1.1-liter OHC flat-4 features a single-barrel carburetor and produces 35 HP. It costs slightly less than $2,200 to produce and sells for $3,000, $200 cheaper than the Tata Nano. It also has two trunks, one above the engine compartment and one under the hood, so it is very practical.
